Draft Review 2016 - Revisiting the 2016 AFL Draft

This is groundhog day - same rubbish at the start on 2021 with Bolton being spoken about in the same way Matthews, Carey and Ablett are spoken about.

Then in the 2nd half of the year when Bolton's form fell away this thread went quiet.

Players have proven themselves and played at a consistent high level - these are the players at the top of this re-do - B&F winners, All Australians, high in the coaches votes etc.

It really was a reasonable draft looking at that list.

You can't go past Stewart as the current number 1

Now over time he might slip as others have longer careers. But 3 x AA's are hard to come by

Tim English is the only one that can catch Bolton

Looking really good, and gun ruckman that kick goals are one of the AFL's rarest commodities much much more valuable than loose as a goose HBF

I am not sure what you've been watching, but English directly behind Scrimshaw is a classic

Bolton got a decent whack after he kicked his 3rd when the game was over.

Along the lines of that he looked like he was going to tear the game apart early but completely went missing when momentum swung towards the saints - for him to be a good player he has to improve his consistency.

Shai Bolton 3 goals , 2 assists , involved in more goals than any other player on the ground, also got 3 clearances

Outstanding game

Was great for 2 and a half quarters. Went missing after that.
