Feck off Campaigner, I claimed him first. He is more a Selwood or Lever pick coming off a knee, but potentially could have been pick 1 if not for knee

So what you are saying is that Bonar is giving you a ....................?

Just written a few members names down, I'm interested on who you think we could get with our picks 7 and 8 after the teams have taken Rayner, LDU , Dow , Cerra , Brander
just for future reference and see how they turn out.

Premium Coffield and Higgins I expect Stephenson to be taken before 7
Lightsxo Coffield and Constable/O'Brien however would take LDU if he fell to us

KernelT we won't have both 7 & 8
Trade for a big fish. If that's not happening. Then Stephenson and Naughton. If one looks like going earlier trade into 2018 first round.

Sab22 7 or 8 + 2nd 2018 for Tigers first 2 picks,pick up a FB/Mid.7 or 8 we can bring in Coffield

Impatient Saint Cerra & Brayshaw

updated

I send 7 or 8 + 2nd 2018 for Richmond's first 2 picks this year.

So we have a chance to pick up a FB/Mid. With 7/8 we can bring in Coffield or best player available.
I'd rather going to pick 1 or 2 but doing that could take
coffield/Stephenson with top 10
Sam taylor/other defender
Obrien or bonar

That's a very good draft haul.

Very similar heritage. Gwilt was PNG/Wales, this kid is PNG/Scotland. So Gwilty was a better singer, Bonar is tighter with a dollar?

I'm not sure who you offended more in there but I loved Gwilt he was a gun of a guy. i know some Scots that do keep that cultural stereo type going though, never met any campaigners that leave the house with out wallets or get confused who's turn to go to the bar more than those two.

Think Bonar is eligible as aSt Kilda next generation player, think he is in an photo of the next gen academy on Saints website.

Nah he's in the open draft[/QUOTE

All academy players are in the open are draft I thought but you get a discount. For example. Ethan Penrith from the Northern Nights is available to Carlton but anyone else can draft him.

They are under the same rules as northern state academy kids, why would he not be eligible given he fits the criteria?

After these games I want to take our picks to the draft more than ever. We need to keep rolling these top young players into the club and getting everyone buying in.

Coffield and a sliding Cerra would be great.

There is a guy in the Bendigo League called Lachlan Sharp, who plays for Strathfieldsaye. He kicked 142 goals this season and won the League Best and Fairest award, as well the League goalkicking. I was at the Grand Final yesterday and he kicked five goals in the last term while injured, to guide his team to a runaway victory from two or three goals down at three quarter time. This was in front of quite a few thousand people, including his ex team mate and mentor (?), Stephen Milne. Two of Jarryn Geary's brothers I believe, are guns at Strathfieldsaye as well, with one brother winning the best player award yesterday. Lachlan Sharp appears to be an absolute matchwinner and gun. As he is aged 26 or so however, perhaps now he will never get a chance to play AFL. I for one believe he may be a worth a late draft pick this year.

I've been wondering what injury has put an end to Rayner's season, as I hadn't seen it mentioned anywhere, and Bishop said he's been told it's his knee, which if correct is interesting, as I first saw talk of him having had a knee issue around the 2nd or so game of the champs, and then someone who said they go to school with him said a few weeks later that Cam said it was still very sore, so if he's been playing with a knee injury for half the year at least (as well as playing with a broken hand/thumb/finger late in the year), it augurs well for how well he would have gone if fully fit!

Probably also explains why he went back to playing more permanent forward than he had been.

Not bad if you can average 120 SC points per game in the champs and kick 5 goals in one of those games when playing with a bung knee.

Watching Dusty being a nightmare match-up deep inside 50 yesterday and Danger doing the same the week before just made me think of Rayner, as that's the exact sort of stuff that he's renowned for when he plays forward, at an identical type size and with such similar strengths/attributes.

If we manage to get our hands on any of him, Dow, or LDU we ought to be seriously pumped.
