every club has howlers heck we made more errors in the past at least now days the guys we are pick show a little of something.... im not alowed to mention the first pick of last year cause it upsets some people

So from 7 drafts you can name 5 players. Colour me shocked.

On average I reckon we would draft 4 senior players and 2 rookies. Over 7 drafts that's 42 players and you've found 5 mistakes.

That's an error rate of 11%. Which given you need to delist a minimum of 3 players every year that's pretty damn good!!!!

Murdoch Saunders were always extremely speculative given they were 3rd round prospects in a compromised draft. Effectively they were more like the 70th best player than the 40th given the players prelisted leading up to it. They were rookie list talent.

Spencer white was a speculative tall. Not all of them work out. You're gonna have busts.

Like I said look at the bust rate at GWS Melbourne gold coast etc. Hell even hawthorn with some of their talls in their premiership build.

Long was a safe pick over some of the other options available like Bolton. So I'm not sure why you think we take too much risk.

Don't take risk then you don't get the reward.

Murdoch Saunders were always extremely speculative given they were 3rd round prospects in a compromised draft. Effectively they were more like the 70th best player than the 40th given the players prelisted leading up to it. They were rookie list talent.

Like I said look at the bust rate at GWS Melbourne gold coast etc. Hell even hawthorn with some of their talls in their premiership build.

Long was a safe pick over some of the other options available like Bolton. So I'm not sure why you think we take too much risk.

There's no hiding from it they need to start delivering on the ground we haven't played finals since 2011 at least Trout needs to have the heat turned up we talk tough & deliver bugger all same old same old year after year .

Tim Membrey was taken by Sydney somewhere after the Saunders pick.

Yeah we could have got a GOP instead of White. But White might have worked out too.

I know we need stars but history shows most players need about 50 games ( 2 seasons) to become genuine stars anyway. So I would be happier using pick 7&8 which are great picks, in the draft and topping up with a gun free agent or by trading in the next two years .

Look at Acres, four years, not 50 games, Rice, two years. no games. White and Long, two and one, four games. Battle and Marshall, one game. We certainly know how to bring our youngsters on.

Turn up to Fremantle Oval this Friday and you will see in the WAFL U15 and 16's Carnival a player that will have a Nathan Buckley type entry into the AFL. As we won't be getting him anytime soon , I'm with you in taking 7 & 8 to the draft and hoping we jag one. This club is due.

A lot of players need time to develop , grow and get in good physical condition prior to playing seniors , you do get a few kids who perform from the get go.
Just look at the past players like Dipper - he played 99 2nds games before getting a senior call up and I think Tuck played well over 50 2nds games before he became a regular.
Not everyone is like a Oliver or a Tim Watson.

The fact is Crouch and coach Don Pyke simply don’t get on due to the 22-year-old’s continued partying and failure to fall into line with what Pyke expects of his players.

The Crows are turning into a finely honed unit based on discipline and sacrifice, modeling themselves on Hawthorn, but Crouch just can’t adapt to the team ethos.

Adelaide is already putting the highly talented midfielder’s name out to other clubs interested in a trade, and there’s plenty of interest coming from his home state of Victoria.

Brad Crouch is contracted , however if they win the flag , you never know.
