Boekhorst never got the chance to show us his worst. I'm 200% confident if Blaine had a chance to play in a final, he would do enough to convince even his biggest fans that he's not up to it.

Way too soft for AFL, and his delisting is another example of why SOS will go down as one of the great list managers.

Fair point. I saw him play so wide on the wing one day at Cramer St I swear he grabbed half a dozen Preston Market donuts before running into the forward line.

Let's wait and see, I loved SOS as a player and met him great guy, but there are literally people here would say mmm that a nice turd SOS if he did it in their lap!!
Only time will tell, I hope he's right.
Let's remember Daisy is still there, surely Boek could of hung around before him?????????

If you guys were including rookies in your calculations then there may have been some confusion. Personally I said 10 max (off the main list). And as much as you were "lambasted" you were lambasting others.

You guys said 15, others said 10. As far as I can see 13 doesn't equal 15 and is in between the two suggestions. You and Soapy (in the words of Mr Wolf), shouldn't start sucking each other's ***** quite yet.

Personally, I'm a bit surprised with Boekhorst, it's clear SOS didn't like him and I am not confident of getting a better player with our last pick at all.

This is what people wanted to argue with me about :

10. We will be turning over 10-12 more players at the end of this season (delistings, trades & retirements etc), there will be a further 6-8 changes at the end of 2018 by which time 90% of our list will be players under the age of 24-25yo.

Pet theory.

White was told he would be delisted by a fortune teller in a night club years ago.

Fortune teller got a fist in the face for his trouble

Like the Mullett pick-up if its true. Pretty harsh for him to get delisted by North. I've felt like we've lack another quality small defender for the last year or so. Mullett for nothing in that spot definitely works.

Mullett and Hartung look likely as DFA for us which is pretty decent really.

13 changes to the list thus far.

Kennedy, Lang & Lobbe coming means 10 spots to fill.

Picks 3, 10 & 30 in the ND means 7 spots to fill.

LeBois & Glass-McCasker elevated to the senior list, 4 players then picked up in the rookie draft means 3 spots to fill.

3 X DFA to finalise the overall list.
How are you elevating 2 rookies with Pick 73?

Neither Daisy nor Boek had long-term futures with the club.

Difference is Daisy is a premiership player, knows how to win and is a good professional role model.

Told you a couple of days ago that Blaine had been informed by the club that his services were no longer required. It got deleted because it wasn't an official source. I don't know... the kids grandfather seems to be in the know because you know... family!

The tears over Boek are quite surprising. It was a massive shock when he got drafted on the night and less of a shock he turned out to be a squib. Never had the work ethic/appetite to be a successful player and was way too soft.

This year proves that he deserved to be delisted. Barely got a game (deservedly so) until they played him the last few rounds to perhaps get a trade. By then decided he needed to put the effort in and did some nice things. Problem is, where was this urgency in previous years and earlier this year? Players like him don't deserve to be on the park, back to WA. Id dare say he did quite well off the field I reckon.....

Haven't seen a lot of him but in theory a quick running half back with a good left foot and only 25 is a good pick for free

I think you mean, Welcome to the new season of "Everyone's A Defender"
maybe we should move Levi into defence as well, he definitely kicks like a defender.
I once thought the game was actually won in the middle
no actually

Funny how when we first drafted Menzel it looked like Dan was close to getting the chop due to his injuries and everyone thought Troy would be a star. Now Troy’s a DFA and Dan just kicked 40 in a side that finished second at the end of the regular season.

I don’t see LeBois or JGM being elevated. They would need to show something in 2018. I know people rate JGM, I’m am one who doesn’t and don’t think he will survive the cut at end of next year. We are stacked in the back line. If he was a forward, I could see him staying.

TheCoach16, spoken to any hairy men recently?
Unfortunately not, ferris. Last year was my one and only moment of insider information. For the week following the drafting of young Polson, I was a king! Revered, respected, even feared in some circles...

Alas, the fat, hairy, intoxicated man vanished. Taking with him, any shred of credibility and relevance I had for just a fleeting moment....

The line in the sand night when Dodoro openly mocked the CFC .
Silvagni was reported to have shaken his head in disbelief .
May have been the moment that he decided he had to return and fix the bloody mess ...

I believe there is an element of truth to the above statement.

SOS was always going to come home but I reckon this set of draft picks acted as a catalyst to his homecoming coming sooner.
