I guess it's got to do with some of the players being used as trade bait for late picks (e.g. Buckley, Boekhorst, Graham, White).
If they don't get traded, they'll either get delisted or see a 1-year deal. Also have to consider the number of players we are drafting.

On Channel 9 news a moment ago, they ran with PA as being front runners for Rockliff and Trengrove poised to accept a 4 year deal from the WBDs. Can't see us engaging in a bidding war over a role player unless he's being groomed as that relief ruck
As was MK and many others. We can add him as a DFA and would be a reasonable backup if MK went down, while Phillips recovers from his foot issue.
I would still take a project ruckman late in the draft like a Ben Miller

They need some size. Martin for the ruck and Trengrove as a fwd/ruck and Boyd at FF. Allows Roughead to go back to defence

Bulldogs are completely insane if they give Trengrove a 4 year deal . Between him and Boyd what a waste of a good chunk of their cap .

Releasing Roughead to the backline ? .
Tieing up a lot of cap space on ordinary players imo .
Gorringe has retired, so we definitely need another ruck given both Kreuz and Phillips have had their injury woes.
