Good to see Smedts paid out. Sad to see Whitey go but hard to see what role he would've filled next year.

Disappointed to see Boekhorst go, especially if we end up picking up verified spuds like SHAW as a DFA.

Seriously gobsmacked that Graham gets a contract before Boek, very surprised. The other two were inevitable.

Graham's workrate is far better, although he'll never cut it at AFL level.

Boekhorst had three years on the list and apart from a few cameos was just an average player, with a few tricks. Didn't have the composure and his decision-making could be fairly shoddy too.

Surprised Smedts has been moved on while contracted, but he's another who's just not up to the level. Far too safe, a little soft and doesn't bring anything to the table we don't have. Tiny arc of development in his time at Carlton.

Had time for Simon White though. Tough, versatile, surprisingly good intercept mark, and did some good jobs over the years. Would have liked to have seen him get another year, but probably wouldn't have got many more games, if at all.

White probably the least talented guy to get regular games in recent memory...and I don't mean that as an insult, speaks volumes for preparation, dedication and willingness to have a go.

Boekhorst rather than Graham? Somebody lost their damn mind.

Boekhorst proved at the end of the season that he has at the very least a borderline AFL game. Graham has consistently demonstrated that he's a very good VFL player but is nowhere good enough to be considered a contributor at the AFL level.

If its about work rate then both should have been cut. Graham's output isn't close to sufficient when factoring in how vanilla he is.

Not sure you keep players on the list on the basis they've got a 'borderline AFL game.' He's 25 and hasn't got much improvement left.

Graham had 2-3 very good games closer to the start of the year.

Would have been happy if they both had of stayed, one was delisted, or they were both moved on. I can't see either as being future AFL players.

I expected us to keep Boekhurst to be honest. Played some okay footy towards the end of the year.

OKAY at best. I said it before he is NOT AFL standard. Doesn't do enough of the basics well. Easy to run outside and get a few kicks but makes too many mistakes and doesn't defend. Also, gets lost easily.

Well done SOS and Co. How many delistings is that now???

Might've been in the minority but I found Boekhorst's showed a bit in his last run in the seniors. If those suspected rumours about bringing in Matt Shaw are true I do question what the point of getting Shaw is? He's not an upgrade on any of the delisted lot so a little confused.

Think this was the last year of the big culls, of course a guy like Graham, Lamb and perhaps Byrne might be on their last chances to perform at senior level in 2018 but after extensive and needed aggressive turnover of players our list is looking more to where we need it to be.

God DAMN! Was not expecting another 3 guys being cut. 13 more, lets hope this is our last big cull - seems almost all the deadwood is now gone.

BB deserved another year based on his late season form, I thought. Graham lucky and on his last chance.

Definitely a big FU to Rogers in this years' changes.

Props to Whitey - a good clubman who got the most out of himself despite injuries and form slumps a plenty.

Club definitely loading up for 2 x DFAs and using Pick 73. Can't wait to see what SOS does this next month.

Can absolutely see an ex-Hawk making their way here, and really hope we don't pickup Wellingham. Sniper. Who names their kid Sharrod anyway?!
