What's with all the cryptic stuff? Is it just your gut feeling or do you have some mail? If you have mail, share please! Or are you going out on a limb so you have a chance to say "told you so?"

Why would anyone want to go to Norf.

They can't even attract a crowd.

At which point we will gladly tell them to get...

They can ask all they like. What they end up getting will be very different.
We're not out to screw them over, but we're not going to get bent over either.
Paying two first rounders IMO is too much for one player, unless its a Dangerfield or a Martin.

Saints dint need him and why wouldn't he go to the roos

Why don't the Saints need him?

Their midfield is extremely ordinary.

Why wouldn't he go to the Roos? Because they're going to be down the bottom for years.

I usually note that but thought we had enough of a win, even without it. :)

Would have been interesting what may have come about without having upgraded that pick by 3 selections.

It's not out of the question that we may have missed on Curnow, but much more likely that we wouldn't have got McKay and if we didn't get Mckay?
Maybe Milera? Maybe Gresham? Burton? Not out of the question that we would have taken Cuningham earlier.

Very true. Interestingly, I had Ryan Clarke ahead of Cunners that year, will take keen interest how those 2 compare in a couple of years

In 2 years time this is quite possible..

Crows:
Eddie (retired)
Sauce (retired)
Menzel (delisted)

Carlton:
Ed Curnow (29 y.o club leader)
Matty Wright (40 goal season)
Sam Kerridge (ave 30 disposals)
Lachie Plowman (all-Australian)
Jed Lamb (22 games)
Andrew Philips (back-up ruckman)

Certanly will be interesting. The Menzel deal we will win and comfortably. Eddie & Sauce are from regimes prior to SOS, so personally I would rather forget and move on from those disasters

I liked Clarke too, but his ball use was/is poor. Cunners was a riskier pick and while he still struggles to find it and stay involved, I am more than happy with that selection.

Ladder as of today.

Next weeks games will be interesting.

Brisbane v Norf
Port v GC
Carlton v Sydney

I can't see Norf beating Brisbane, GC beating Port or us beating Sydney.

We could still end up 17th & could all come down to %

Cunners will be much better than Clarke. I expect him to really step up next year. Injury free pre season will help

I work with a guy he went to high school with unless he's win a flag this year he is going no where

That is the narrative they are peddling.. And you are buying.

IMO he is leaving GWS or he would have signed already.

So who's on the de-list train this week?
Gorringe
Korchek
JGM
Sheehan
Jasck
Sumner
Armfield(ret)
Buckley
Palmer(not sure contract status)

Perhaps earned new contracts:
Thomas
Boekhurst
Lamb

Now Keep for depth:
Kerridge
Graham

Army (retired)
Summer (delist)
KJ (delist)
Buckley (delist)
Gorringe (delist)

Not sure about the rookies.

Suspect Thomas, Graham and Boekhorst will be offered 1 year deals, or be used in trades (not Daisy of course).

Palmer stays as he is contracted for next year.

There is no way Boek goes unless he gets traded. The kid has improved so much this season and if he can improve again in 2018 he will be a good player.
So many others who are behind him.

Will be an interesting exercise to put together our best 22 next year.

So am I, think he is very gifted. May never win as much of the pill as Clarke, but will be more damaging, hopefully:D

We really haven't seen some of our guys off the leash quite yet.
Guys like SPS, Curnow, Byrne and then Williamson and Fisher, are going to entertain us for years to come.

Cuningham fits into this group also. This guy has some serious tricks but still has to get the 'foundation' right.
The change to the more attacking game, and it will come when ready, will transform some of these guys into serious weapons.

The term first rounder is to general

Three first rounders if 16,17,18 in my view worth less than pick 1

So when speculating people need to be more specific
