You're talking about list balance well before we need to worry about list balance.The problem there is we've already got too many guys who can play that role deep or off HF. Gallucci, Lamb and Armfield are probably gone at the end of this year, and Sumner will hopefully score another year.
Way bigger issue with quick and agile players at the other end of the ground. How many backups to a position do you want to have?

Both will play off HF/FP and rotate in if they make it. They will spend plenty of time as small forwards.

We need to trim our small forward contingent right now (I didn't even include Armfield, and Buckley is playing defence out of necessity).
I'd still take the top 30 pick, and I don't see anything short of a 40 goal season changing that.
We've loaded up on cheap small forwards because that's one area of the ground where you can often find good players for cheap. Wright's the only proven performer. I think we'll turn a few over & keep searching
