You'd have to back Heppell in for 105ish. Last two seasons of 106.4 ('14) and 104.8 ('15). I can't see an increase in output with the year off but he is young and a gun so wouldn't expect him to slow too much.

Feel safer putting the extra 70k into Heppell over Beams/Murphy.
That's my thinking atm. I've put a line through Beams, can't go in with him, Sandilands and Fyfe.

I'd be happy with Heppell going 22 games @ 105 at his price. I reckon he's better that that, too. With Merrett feeding it out to him I reckon 110 is closer to his mark. Also like how he's a 80-120 player. Always like having a midfielder who is in that scoring range compared to someone who gets 60 one week and 140 the next.

Last year I banged on about not starting Zerrett as the team will be horrible and he'll have zero support. He then came out nuts and I was waiting for him to slow down and never jumped on thinking I had missed the boat and it was any day now, never happened.

Has certainly kept my mind open for the Bombers players this season and I don't think it'll be as bad as it's expected. Always end up with a workhorse in the team throughout the season that will give you those consistent scores. If the likes of Priddis/Sloane dipped that low during the season then you'd be all over them. IMO at that price, you can't go wrong. He's not in my team at the moment as I'm filling my premo MIDS with 115+ but if I can scrape enough cash to upgrade Swallow, I will.

I'm liking him at M5

More safer then Beams but obviously ceiling not as high but like you said you know what you'll get with Hepp, consistent 80-110 scores

A lot of love for JPK. Obviously there's good reason he's been a gun for a few years.

I'm loath to start any Syd mid in previous years & I don't see why I would do different this year.

Is it TMitch being gone? I don't see why that will change their rotation of mids, surely Heeney or someone else takes that role. They'll still manage their mids & eventually you'll get them cheaper.

Trying to get people to take JPK last year was like trying to sell a cheap suit to a wineo, times-r-a-changin'.

On that note, I'm taking off my cheap suit, grabbing my goonbag & heading for a dip in the pool.

Are you saying Libba is a good pick or that you are pinging hard?

Either way I reckon he's pinging hard.

And if he starts telling us all he loves us and dancing to shit music then it'll be confirmed

Looking at his scoring last year discounting injured games he averaged 97. averaged 107-110 in his 3rd and 4th years in the comp. No reason he wont go 105+ for the season and its not like the bullies are big on inside players. He will be in the guts every game, and will probably average similar or better than the Bont.

Anyone know how do swallow's tracking this pre season??

I've just changed:

Mclovin, Murphy and heeney
To
Doc, swallow and Macrea

All hinges on swallow holding up (cue fat spider and his double entendres) :D

I think I'll be taking 2 of the Heppell, beams, Murphy, Liberatore quartet.
It likely won't be Libba.
At this stage I have Heppell and Beams.

Anybody willing to gamble on Barlow?
After his role change last year he put up solid numbers. I can see him playing a similar, accountable but not hard-tag roll with the Suns this year. Has proven to score well when doing this over his entire career

Rocket was on SEN yesterday and was asked who's training down the house and he mentioned Martin and Swallow were the standouts so far. Positive signs.

Barlow forward would have been nice but alas it didn't happen. Not interested in him MID only.
Sexy Robbie, Zorko and Dusty the only ones that are worthy of a starting spot IMO

I like Libba as a pick but disagree with this bit. Bontempelli, Dahlhaus, Macrae, Libba, Wallis (when he's back), Dunkley, Jong. Plus the club has said that Smith, Hunter and Daniel will all be playing more inside this year and that's been their focus this preseason. But Libba can score points when forward so I think that's all irrelevant. Just maybe not 110 like when he attended every centre bounce a few years back. 105-107 I reckon.

Barlow in the Suns leadership group. I wouldn't be shocked if he goes 110+. Ross ****ed him over last year.

Just on Libba, he was pretty bloody good last year for a bloke coming off an ACL. Only had two games under 80 that were not injury effected. And one of them IMO he was rushed back way too early from his rib injury (second saints game).

I like him. At this rate I'm gonna have way too many dogs players. Just like last year when I had Kennedy, Parker, Hannebery and Mitchell all in the midfield.
