In 2016 5 forwards averaged 100; 6 defenders
In 2015: 10 forwards, 2 defenders
In 2014: 6 forwards, 5 defenders
In 2013: 9 forwards, 1 defender
In 2012: 10 forwards, 5 defenders
In 2011: 9 forwards, 5 defenders

Your statement looks a bit woolly there! Might have to call you "woolly woofta".

That's a Good point. But I will also add the the players only have to average 100+ from the point when they enter your team.

If I pick up tom lynch in round 9 I'm not really concerned with his yearly average, just what he will average from round 9 onwards.

That's as may be, but the discussion was around whether it was possible to finish with a team of 22 players who averaged 100+ over the course of the season, notwithstanding what they might average while in one's team.

I know what he said but WTF does it have to do with what we were talking about.
Well presumably he means that because your perennial 100+ averaging forwards Martin and Zorko as well as 2016 boons Merrett and Wells have lost their forward eligibility, it makes it that much harder again to find six 2017 forwards who will average the ton because the 2016 forwards and the 2016 mids who have gained forward eligibility for 2017 didn’t average any better than 95.7.

Presumably.

Was Matt Crouch dropped or injured in rounds 9 and 10 of last year?

He came back in round 11 after a couple weeks off, then went on to average 29.3 touches, 5.2 tackles, 3.8 marks and 103.6 SC pts

Am I crazy considering him at $500k?

4-3-4 structure for me

Danger - lock

Bontempelli - Looking to break into the top 10 mids this year, his scoring trajectory would have him as 110+ this year.

Fyfe - underpriced, could be highest scorer

Tmitch - unleashed at Hawks already, biggest issue is a tag now he's just about their #1 mid!

Beams - under-priced and an SC gun. Given the captaincy I expect that means they think he'll be right to play.

JOM - freak of a player, looks fit, price too good to not have

Sheed - risky pick, lack of rookies has me spending a little more for someone who is capable of scoring well in a team that is bringing a higher possession game.

Rookies to fill out.

edit: not having Pendlebury makes me want to cry, but I just can't risk it. I'm sorry.

Looking at the Crows midfield, I would guess he was injured.
A bit of talk about him spending more time on ground, scoring more etc, but at that price I would prefer to go with either Heppell, who at least has shown that he can go 105 over a season before or Liberatore who has been 110+ before. None of these guys have come in to consideration for my team though - running with Beams at a cheaper price and would also choose O'Meara before any of them.

Would take Sheed anywhere other than mids. Hope it works out for you.
