Thanks for that. I'm interested in real-world experience with the IQ3 and might get one later when the beta-testing is finished.

I finally succumbed to Foxtel last year and have a IQ2 in the family room and an IQ3 in another.

First 6 months of the IQ3 was terrible, it required a hard reboot every day which was a pain in the freckle, particularly if it was recording something. (No sound or pink screen)

India kept telling me it was my TV even though it was happening on 3 different models of TV in the house.

Anyway, after umpteen updates and 6 months it behaves most of the time now, if it does play up a simple turn off and on again from the remote gives it a kick start. (Rather than a hard reboot)

Being a new Foxtel person with no prior knowledge of any unit I prefer the IQ3 menu system and usability. Particularly now it's stable.

I'm guessing you can't run a network cable to it from your modem?
Too far but with Foxtel you can buy something that you plug into your PowerPoint to transmit the signal but it's about $60 I think, not worth it.

The Foxtel tech left me the 2 PowerPoint Ethernet adapters. It works a treat and gives me an Ethernet port in any room I want/need [emoji106]

Janus is at it again, he reckons if they can get an improvement of 50 metres per game across the 22 players they will have 9 players inside the top 100 for metres gained and run the ball better than us.

I'm sure getting that improvement will be easy, all clubs should click their fingers and do it.

Will be easy for them to do, every player just needs to randomly launch a torp once a game.

And then the opposition will run the ball down for a goal and improve their metres gained so they go backwards in the top 100.

Gotta check the views of both Bob & Silent J :D :p

Wait, do you mean 50m for each player? Or just 50m spread across the entire team?

Because casually asking for an extra kilometer gained in every match is pretty amusing.

Especially with their proposed best 22. Their list is miles away from being top 8. How many rounds in before they start demanding for Ken's head and start putting lynch mobs together. I am gonna say 4.

What if they get rid of Ken and get a good coach instead?

The first thing he'll do is say that we're spelling this China shit because it's a time-consuming distraction.

C'mon Ken! Get a few early 'hopes up' wins please.

I'm pretty sure he meant each player

Not if we improve by 51m ;)

The stat in itself is irrelevant. It's a signal of intent because it shows the sides willingness and ability to keep the ball moving forward.

And we lost 50m per game across the board between 2014 and 2015, so it's not like I'm saying we need to do something we haven't done before. Ebert and Krakouer dropped close to 100m gained this year alone. It's two extra kicks per game, and we were near the bottom for kicks last year.

The following players for Adelaide improved by 40m or more from 2015 to 2016. Some improved by close to 100m:

Sloane
Laird
Smith
M Crouch
Talia
Cameron
Lever
Atkins
Mackay
Brown
Hartigan

It shouldn't be surprising that most of the improvement came from your back six, because that's where you launched most attacks from.

So what exactly are you saying, that you expect a 50m improvement per game per player?
