Taberner on about 20 leading the Peel Board. Sutcliffe got into the tens. Balic had 8. A few others in between.

Edit: Probably a few less than 20 as the leader board goes down to 17 votes after Round 19 and no Peel players are in the list.

What's wrong with Schloithe? I like him! I was surprised when he was delisted by us after only one year. I like him - bloody hard at it, doesn't take a backward step, flies the flag for his team mates, ball magnet, consistent, bring his team-mates into it... everything that you'd want in a player. The only other guy I would have really liked to see win it would have been Tim Kelly.


















(But then I am a Souths supporter so there may be some small amount of bias here. Good to see a Souths player win it AFAIC!)

I think there is more to it than that. He has come across very salty at times.

The only Souths player I actively DO NOT LIKE is the ducking little campaigner Ashton Hams - taught Luke Shuey everything he knows, and still sucks umpires in at WAFL level. I cringe each time he gets a free kick for doing it.

Oh and that Verrier kid could lose the moustache, but that's not a 'dislike', that just a 'you look stupid' thing.

One of the interviewers after the count gave Schloithe a chance to take a dig at Fremantle by asking him if he had something to prove to them after being delisted and he didn't buy into it. He just said when he was drafted he'd come up from Katanning as an 18yo and he hadn't any experience of being in the system, and after that he just wanted to go back to South Fremantle who'd given him a chance to play colts.

I did see that post he made earlier in the year. I think he's still good mates with the other draftees from his year - Crozier, Sheridan.

Yep, the "hates Freo" line is bs. He voiced his disappointment at his mate Croz being overlooked for Rd 1 which was totally justified and out of that some people took it that he was anti-Freo.

He's a very good footballer and totally deserved to win a Sandover. I hope he gets another chance in the AFL and can apply himself to the required level this time.

What a choice, one side who has cheated and disregarded the cap for years and spent big on players and coaches with their Domain bar takings and the other an alignment club . I'd take the alignment club,at least they arent cheats and work within the rules.
