Rockliff
(R) Hinge
(R) William
(R) Grewar

Bell
Paparone
Frost
Dawson
Lyons
Keep:
CBeams
Harwood
Close
(R) CHanley
(R) Eagles
(R) Barrett
(R) Hammelman
Get:
- Cameron
- Mature leader type looking to move into coaching
- Midfield draft talent
- Speedy running half back
- Maybe Hartung
Both Mathieson and Berry will be added as inside midfielders can see us address some more outside skill with McCluggage and Taylor really the only young players in our midfield there's talk of adding Witherden to that Cameron if he comes cheap would be great but I think we should look at Motlop drafting Dow and Brayshaw we have some great midfielders in next year's draft who are rated very highly as Father/Sons in Blakely and BradshawThe club won't move Rocky on, it will have to be Rocky wanting out.
Lyons is a first year draftee and is on the cusp of selection, he won't be going anywhere.
It will likely come down to Beams or Harwood in my opinion. Harwood may be a bit more durable, Beams is the more talented of the two.
I'd like to keep Eagles, but am unsure if the club see him a depth option in the ruck or Key Position. IF we can pay out Frost, we may re-rookie Eagles in case of emergency.
Cameron + Ballenden + Inside mid x 2 + Fast outside mid = 5 required list spots.
LOL at all the ppl doing mental gymnastics trying to protect list cloggers. If they're not good enough, then ship them out.

If you are not into hypotheticals then this whole conversation is pointless because l am 90% sure that paying someone out is not going to happen under the FagNob dept. Yes winning is a big part of culture but also trust within this group. There won't be any trust if we start disregarding contracts and paying them out. I don't think Bell, Frost will amount to anything but they are under contract and deserve to finish it out. We can still get mature age recruits with the delistees we will have this year.
Out: Freeman, Beams, Clayton, Jansen.
That is already 4 there, l would think we need only one more.
The club may not move Rocky on but may make an offer that will make Rocky want to move on eg. $500,000 per year. The club won't move Rocky on, it will have to be Rocky wanting out.

It is based on honesty but to get rid of their careers early when there is no need is silly. How do we know they are not part of our plan going forward. Crisp a few years ago was gonna be delisted. He had a few games toward the end of the season and performed fairly strongly. He then went to Collingwood as a bargaining tool for the Beams trade.TRUST - The thing about trust ,in my opinion ,it is based on absolute honesty. if the players are not part of our plan going forward, simply not good enough, tell them to their face like a man, don't let them hear it from a third party because thats exactly when the trust of the playing group implodes and causes or should i say, tarnishes the Club's name and brand.
Yes.Wasn't Beams a delist candidate last week along with Hammelmann?
I doubt McCluggage will leave, Berry has been in his ear.Was reported on one of Monday's footy shows that of the first round picks from 2016, all have re-signed with the exception of McCluggage and McGrath at Essendon, although McGrath's re-signing is a forgone conclusion.
The discussion wasn't about McCluggage but it was as an interesting point nonetheless.
That's all well and good but we know how his manager likes to play ball. He might sign, in time, but we'll have to wait and with that comes speculation and concern (mostly among us as fans).Clugg loves it here. Don't worry about him.

Inside info or your opinion?Clugg loves it here. Don't worry about him.
Witherden is the one I'll be most worried about. Can't see him leaving personally but I think opposition clubs might see him as someone they can pry away.I think Witherden will be getting some huge offers as well, has had an amazing start to his career

Alex loves it here (and that's inside info) but like all our young guns in a couple of years, they will be hard work to hang on to. Hippy's current contract is up at the end of 2019. Imagine if (like Schache) it was up at the end of this year and he had not yet extended? (for whatever reason)Absolutely. Think every club will be at least asking the question.
I am not that confident with Hugh as I am with others.I was inside when I shared my opinion, does that count?
I've heard very positive things regarding Hugh from one of the players. I am not worried at all.
Absolutely. Think every club will be at least asking the question.
Just an observation. If a kid plays every game possible, with no finals footy, he won't reach 100 games until early in to his 5th season.Alex loves it here (and that's inside info) but like all our young guns in a couple of years, they will be hard work to hang on to. All these young guns will have (hopefully) 50-100 games under their belts in 2-3 years and have been part of the footy club's rise out of that murkey bucket of s*** to (at worst) threatening to play finals. Providing we make them fair offers financially, I think they will want to stay together and enjoy raising at least 1 premiership cup one fine day.
