Schache and pick 20 to the Dogs for Picks 9 and 28.

The Crows take pick 18 for Cameron or POQ, if they are still being stubborn late on Thursday offer picks 12 and 18 to the Saints for picks 7 and 45.

Go into draft night with picks 1, 7, 9, 28, 43 and 45.

Draft- Luke Davies-Uniacke, Andrew Brayshaw, Hunter Clark, Connor Ballenden, Tim Kelly, Liam Ryan.

Assuming playing at the lions is a realistic option, i still think we should try to keep Schache for 1 more year. Ive heard a few people say that players settle in the 3rd year. And if not with any luck we still get a 20- 30 pick in a strong draft.

We really don't need more picks this year

But I'm trying not to get to caught up in any of the talk. I'm saving my outrage for Thursday arvo

I think every club wants to get higher up the draft this year, I can’t see too many being keen to downgrade their picks.

Dodongo thinks we'll be trying to trade them next year and if not, they will go in the delisting group. Dodongo thinks we should be trying to trade Paparone to one of the WA teams this year though, but we have too much on to look at deals like that.

Funny how people say “we should trade pick 20 something and 20 something for a higher pick the points are equivalent” or some slight variation yet the chat is there’s about 5 teams trying to do that and no one wants the higher picks. Hmmm

I really like your thinking, but the deal hinges on Saints doing 7 for 12 and 18 and I can’t see how it is a win for them. They’re much more likely to keep 7&8. If Schache is traded that’s 6 out, but with the possibility of Hodge and unfortunately Lobbe, we’re struggling to find enough list spots for the 6 you want. If Schache goes would be wise to either keep Close or upgrade Hammer to the primary list. Can’t really see us drafting both Kelly and Ryan, just one of them. Also more likely to be 1, 9, 12, 18, 28, 43. We would still get one of Bradshaw and Clark, probably not both. Here’s hoping the Dogs will do the first trade.

I'd do it. I feel like the club would prefer to get at least three youngsters in (pick 1, 12 and Ballenden) though. If we could get CC and Weller for 18 and 20 it'd be ideal but between Freo and Adelaide that's probably unlikely, as at least one if not both will/are pushing for pick 12.

Ignore what Lloyd just said about the blues not being interested in Shache, they are interested, it's just whether blues would be keen to ease down in the draft. They might be if they can shift Gibbs for pick 10 from crows but he's not moving at this stage.

Schache has certainly gone backwards in the marketplace then. Taken at Pick 2 in 2015 draft, played 27 Senior games, so he knows what it is about and now this 199cm 20 year old is ranked in the mid 20's by some in the 2017 draft? My view that we should keep him is firming. We shouldn't accept our Pick Two in 2015 being written down so obviously and then have the heartache of watching that player possibly turning into a star for another club. If this was the Media, Schache would be 'Warehoused' simply to keep him from a rival network. He is under contract and I assume nobody held a gun to his head to get him to sign. We actually hold all the aces here, so unless we get a deal where we break even or come out on top then we should not trade him.
