Will the big O get an opportunity to debut in the last round? Would be good to see him go head to head with a Goldstein to get a gauge on him. Was very good in the VFL last year. Even if he just spells Martin for 5 mins here or there next week.

Agree with you about Zaharakis, especially as we wouldn't have to give anything up. Also think Savage would be a good get, probably more so than Charlie Cameron. I was pretty impressed with the Giants midfield in the twos yesterday. Matthew Kennedy was super impressive. I don't know if he or Hopper are getable, but they might be eventually, especially if Kelly stays at GWS. They have so much talent, with Setterfield and Taranto also in the twos. Not sure they can keep them all happy.

Glad to hear you add Clayton to the list of players we should keep. He has really started winning contested ball in the twos and runs hard both ways. Has improved heaps in the second half of the year. Would like to find a spot for him, even if it's on the rookie list.
The sticking point for Hopper and Kennedy is the Kelly contract. Once that is sorted either way then you would expect to know more but Hopper is closely linked to a move to Vic (played junior/school footy) there and Kennedy is pretty well much a lock for GWS.

Not if we are serious about winning. Not overly sure on the rules but do we expect him on our list next season.

I like Shane Savage as well but he turns 27 before the start of next season so I would be going for Charlie Cameron if it was a choice between the 2.

Would love Matthew Kennedy and Jacob Hopper but probably wont happen. I have watched a few NEAFL games and while Josh Clayton hasn't been a star he has something about him that I like going forward.

Chris Fagan, David Noble, Dom Ambrogio, Stephen Conole and the list management team met in Melbourne this morning to discuss our list and needs going forward, would have loved to have been a fly on the wall for that one.
Did you listen to the SEN interview with Fagan, when they asked him about draft targets and possible go home factor with kids?

Just watched it. Every time I see CHris I am more and more impressed. Inspired move by Swanny to ask him to apply for the job, and even more inspired to give it to him.

I couldn't watch v Melbourne so I was reliant on the stats on the AFL app. When I looked in the 3rd qtr everything was basically even. The clear differences were bounces 0 - 2 & tackles in forward 50 was 1 - 8 by the end was bounces 1 - 9 & tackles in 50 5 - 11

Definately isn't the only game where we've lacked outside run & forward pressure. That's why Cameron is a no brainer for me. He bring that as a minimum. if we can clean up his disposal which is usually cos he's moving to fast He will be a massive pick up for us

...and I loved the txt sent in by a Lions fan who said there wouldn't be a happier group of fans of a team sitting on the bottom of the ladder!

....and he was so right.

If you could only keep 1 of Archie or big O next year who would it be?

The Big Mac has greatly more upside.

As soon as he adds a bit more muscle he'll be a tremendous asset. Not only an instinctive ruckman, but he is very good at follow up work around the ground.

What's his kicking like? Only see a few highlights and it looks like it's needs some work.

Check out this weeks highlights in the NEAFL reserves thread. Goal kicking is reliable, a la Bastinac. He's kicked 24 this year. Around the ground he tends to hit targets. Sure, his disposal could get better, but it's as good as Martin's already. Some strong marks in the highlights and with his height, he's very hard to defend. Reminds me of Rory Lobb.

I am keen on Charlie Cameron although watching him play the last month or so there is no way I would be giving up either of our current picks 14 or 18 for him, we need to manufacture a pick in the mid to late 20s for him during trade week.

He wants to play for Brisbane now. That is why he is playing shit. But i agree a pick in the mid 20's for a guy that come off the rookie list. And on current form.
He'll probably play a cracker in the Granny and then they will demand the Port pick.

Not sure I agree "current form" should be a strong indicator of trade value even if it is in our favour.

That said, there are a lot of advantages to us turning pick 18 into a couple of picks in the twenties, if one of those picks can get the Cameron trade done.

Unfortunately that is all I can go by, up until the rumors circulated re Charlie wanting to come to us I never paid much attention to him.
