Dodongo wants you to know the only nuts involved were two and they were Dodongo's nuts.

The whole put a price on their head that no one will touch doesn't really work unless it's a $1m plus contract. Any club could renegotiate a couple of contracts to afford Lever. Plus the terms he sets have to be met by the club that wants him so he can't just say pay me $1.5m a year to scare off Brisbane and then sign for $750k a year
But he could put $1m for 3 years with a handshake on the $400K for the 4th year extension that is only on the table for Melbourne... Luke Ball style.

I wonder if melbourne (and if watts would come) would take a 2018 second rounder. Watts is a solid footballer. Just needs out or melbourne. Or maybe could.be tied into a schache type deal.

Sporting News just had an article up regarding the whole Whitecross and Hartung thing and suggested that a trade of Hodge,Whitecross, Hartung and pick 43 or some bullshit for Schache, might be on the cards lol. **** me there is some excrement this time of year.

If we can manage to snag pick 11 from the dogs for Schache. What do people think of packaging up picks 11, 12 and say 19 for 7 and 8 from the Saints. An extra top 20 pick for sliding a few places could surely tempt them.
Not sure if they would go for it but it would effectively cost us 350 points which equals to pick 44.
Use 18 on Cameron and still have three picks clear of Ballenden.
1, 7 and 8 would be extremely handy in this draft!

Problem is how many list spots are we going to have available to bank picks for ballenden. Can only take as many picks as list spots available to the draft.

3 top 10s should absolutely be our aim considering what we have available to trade. Would love it if two of those picks could be top 5 cause I see LDU and Brayshaw being a great fit but that's probably expecting too much.

Looks grat but Saints would never go for it. They might trade 1 of their picks but not both and especially for the trade you proposed

My completely uneducated guess given they mention it's another midfielder but not a star to replace Rocky, would be Miles.

I, like a few others here are really worried about how that midfield is shaping up next year.

1-2 injuries especially to a couple of senior guys and the famous 'world of pain' line made famous by one Matthew Lloyd might reappear.

Clark will have half a dozen clubs after him
Unlikely- especially not eyeing him off as their first ruck as was suggested in the OP that I was replying to. Archie Smith has shown just as much as Clarke.

I reckon Kennedy (more $ than blues offer) or Francis (PA & Crows aren't interested).

Kennedy would be huge news and Francis as the intention of being a mid would be even more huger. I tend to think our targets would be more low profile and in the case of Francis, less risk. Love what he has to offer but the reports of low motivation are big red flags. Screams Brennan. All the talent in the world but zero application.

Matt Kennedy would be a great get although we would probably have to give up the pick left over from the Cameron trade for him ie. 18 or 19 which I would be fine with.

Going to the draft with picks 1 and 12 + the pick we may get for Schache (6-13 region) for 2 gun mids would be great IMO, we would have to manufacture a pick in the mid 20s though to match the expected bid on Ballenden.

I was wondering about Dawson or Rose from Sydney. Assuming it isn’t one of the players who have been mentioned already as on the table.
