No doubt you’re pretty wrapped with that trade period and that Noble is a genius with what he achieved?

Because there is absolutely no middle ground yeah?

Geez if you're a Bulldogs fan with Schache and Boyd as your key forwards,it could be a frustrating decade.......Or a really good one.........The possibilities

Started with 1, 12, 18, 41, Rockliff and Schache
Ended with 1, 15, 18, Hodge, Cameron and Ballenden

Its really not even bad, people are losing their minds for no reason. It's not a win, but it's not a huge loss.

Schache is a young man who is not demonstrating the ability to deal with the rigors of AFL and hasn't looked great on the field this year, Rocky is an RFA we don't get equal value for him.

Personally I am happy Schache is not our problem anymore and IF he turns out to be a great player, we can't speculate on what he would have become with us and his development would have been so badly stunted by his angst and discontentment.

I can live with this.

Agree.... if 1, 15 and 18 can be used without Ballenden that's a damn good result. I assume Ballenden will be CHF/FF with Hipwood.

You take Rayner or Davies-Uniacke with 1.
Brayshaw or Constable with 15.
Maybe Balta to play CHB with 18.

Leaves a spine under 21 of
Andrews
Balta
Mids of Witherden Rayner/Davies-Uniacke Keays McLuggage Berry
Hipwood
Ballenden.

Pretty exciting.

In: Picks 15, Hodge, Cameron
Out: Rockliff, Schache, Pick 12

Probably the best way to look at it.

Not toooooooo bad.

If Rocky and Schache struggles and Cameron improves rapidly and Hodge plays 30 decent games for us.

We must have really really good mail that Ballendan won't be bid on before pick 18, or we're simply not going to match him before there.

That last trade gives us three picks in the top 18, and coincidentally our next two picks worth points (40 and 44) allow us to match pick 18 and later.

Very disappointing when you look at it like that. We arguably weaken our draft hand and lost Rockliff and Schache for Cameron.

Were now totally reliant on Ballenden getting pass pick 18, to get value out of those later picks.

One team can turn Lachie Weller in to pick 2 while our team can turn Rockliff and Schache in to sweet **** all.

Great

I think you are confused, Rockcliff was not ours to turn into anything, he was a RFA. Schache was a virtual bust at this stage, there wasn't much left to turn him into anything really.

moving up 5 places in the draft order and dropping back by about 26, that's ridiculous don't you think?

Only if you ignore the Ballenden situation. Quite possible we just created a live first round pick we wouldn't have had otherwise.

Will be interesting how the club wraps up the trade period, no doubt we will get the usual line of driving a hard bargain and 'we think we got value' etc etc etc However, for once.... just once... tell us like it is.

The circus came to town 26 Sept 2004....seems like they are still here.

Would you prefer we were the team that gave up pick 2 for Weller?

Almost would because they've got someone who's actually going to stick around.

I think this is what it feels like to be Dylan12 because I'm severely annoyed at how badly we've folded
