What do you guys think of Lycett for AhChee ?
Both kind of good players with possible /probable upside but not getting a good run at their clubs
Lycett is only out due to injury not being kept out by others so that would be a no

Ah Chee isn't contracted. 4th rounder.

What do I think of your suggestion :

You PORT guys have no shame.
Trying to Ebert us again with no lube.

Short answer would be a categoric NO interest what so ever.

Don't expect a warm response from this board, in regard to trading fairly, as we are still smarting from the way your Club bent us over the block with the Ebert trade.

You may have well forgotten but there is still a lot of bad blood, distain and resentment here towards your Club's trading manner.

Ok , wasn't sure how highly Lycett was rated with Vardy doing quite well this year and Nic Nat coming back next year .
We could do with a ruck , maybe AhChee plus a pick 37 or something but he obviously may still be in the plans for your team .

Ah Chee - yes, I like this guy but shouldnt cost more than a 4th rounder
Watts - no, we are letting one ballerina go, dont need another...
Fasolo - would want to be for steak knives but rather a pick upgrade if we trading out Masten/Lamb
Motlop - nup, will be another player on our list who doesnt try hard enough

In fairness to Port, there wasn't a lot of outrage on this board when it was clear what the Ebert deal would be. Even when the deal went through, a lot of us were pretty cool about it.

I think it's hard to get mad now.

Assuming he's fit, Lycett is in our round 1 team. Too valuable for an uncontracted, unproven player who's been in the system 6 years for 20 odd games

Our Coach said both NicNat and Lycett will be back next season improving our team a good deal ....so the coach wont be trading Lycett or has no intention of especially seeing NicNat and Lycett are our only two ruckman ....Vardy is a part time ruck who did well this season but is more a forward Eagles believe .

Rubbish.

The Ebert trade rage was and still is a thing.

The thing about the Ebert trade that really rubbed me the wrong way was the later pick swap in port's favour. Losing a #13 draft pick that had played 76 games in his first 4 seasons for pick 28 was already fairly rough, but for that pick swap at the end to be in port's favour defied belief and I think is likely the reason for a lot of the vitriol. It just seemed like we got bent over to begin with, and then kicked in the nuts when Port were finished.

Sounds like your classic agree to disagree.

I re-read the "Brad Ebert Quits" thread and by page 5, only hours into the thread being opened, people are feeling ok with pick 28. I remember feeling shocked when I originally read that.

Ebert was pretty shit at West Coast. Couldn't hit the side of a barn by foot

IT was the way they "dicked us around" and reneged with the additional latter pick that was the sticking point.
We were expecting pick pick 45 but port did a re-gig and got 49 and offer us the lesser pick.
We voiced our displeasure and was told to , take the offer or leave it, as Port threatened the PSD as the route to get Ebert.

Sometimes in trades you need to bank some goodwill , in this instance Port did the opposite.
It was Peter Rhode's arrogance that pissed West Coast off.

Ironically they used that very pick # 45 to select...... guess who ..... AhChee.

Yea you should of got more for Ebert , he's a good player and honest as the day is long .
Probably inevitable he came back to Port because his mums family Obst is 3 generations of Port players his dad Craig played 113 games at Port and dads brother Russell is the greatest Port player of all but you should've got more,
