In fairness we get linked with a fair few ****ing shit players each trade period and for the most part none of them have actually come to fruition (that looked like being a shit deal at the time) eg Conca, Bootsma, Everett etc

Only the Magpies would be keen to trade in Masten. They might be the worst traders in the league if this happens.

A bit like what Port have done to Ah Chee, he's a required player but we're only going to play him for 5 games and then try to make sure he can't go elsewhere to actually make some money while he's in his prime.

I get that but the opportunity cost of that is pretty minimal given how unlikely that is. I'm just drawing a distinction between actually chasing an average player with a reasonable pick as opposed to recycling players through the rookie list.
