Hey guys, no way we would trade Acres. He loves Melbourne and is the type of player we desperately need.

I also think 8 and Acres is overs for Gaff.

What's your take on if we added in 30, as some have mentioned??

As supporters we always tend to expect more than what is a fair trade

We'd be robbing St Kilda if it was 8 and Acres for Gaff.

8 and Acres for Gaff and 30 is closer but there's no way they would do that deal.

Yeah, I'm looking at that and thinking "start the car!" Which is a good indication that St Kilda would be unimpressed by the offer.

As if we wouldn't match. Only reason we wouldn't is if we've basically sucked balls and it nets us a pick after our first which is before pick 10. Which it would.

The flip side of wanting to trade Gaff out this year instead of waiting for him to possibly leave via free agency next year to get more out of it is that it works both ways.

Unless a club is challenging next year and they think that Gaff will be a missing piece, why would they spend a top 10 pick and a player on him when they can get him for free next year?

Will they get him for free or would we match the offer to force a negotiated trade like Crows did for Dangerfield.

Its not like we wont have the cap space or want him.

Thats what the club should be saying. Negotiate a fair deal now or i n 12 months.

Saints need to make finals next year. No doubt they and the coach is under massive pressure to improve.

#15 in league for goals

In a year where he had a very very ordinary patch of form his output is still high.

Unless we're getting Coniglio or Shiel for him, it'd be a mistake to ship him off.

No way we trade Darling. If JK only goes on for another 1-2 years at least Darling can hold the fort for a few years till we develop another KF. Gaff to me is the one who holds the most value.
