Its not too bad but personally I would rather keep both picks and hope Naish slides after both our picks.
For us to do a trade like that I think we would have to try it with the Saints

Im not sure how the saints could get involved in this type of transaction.
This deal is really dependent with how high Naish is likely to be bid on.
It could be advantageous to both teams

Its also a stupid argument. Like you wouldnt trade Taberner and Balic for Buddy or Danger...

The real reason you shouldnt be trading Taberner is because McCarthy is nowhere near KPF ability.

Taberner is our best forward.

The issue regarding longevity in the game is so many players who don't get a chance to play at AFL level because they didn't have it. Both players named have and have contributed. Pick #32 hasn't. We can't fit eight defenders in the side. Four years from now Freo could have zero games played from that trade while Hawthorn get 50 in a year.

It's a terrible deal. Don't try and equate Stratton with Dangerfield and Franklin either.

Same deal you propose but rather do it with the Saints. Obviously the higher up we get in the draft the less likely we will need to match Naish with a 1st rd pick. Whats not to understand?

The saints have a better first round selection but no second round selection I believe. I could be wrong.

St Kilda would say thank you if you gave up two first rounders for pick 7.
It would also mean a high bid on Patrick Naish could put you in deficit for next year.
But each to there own.

Probably as a bargain basement replacement for Rockliff. With all due respect Richmonds midfield isn't exactly the greatest of all time outside your top 3 or 4 and if he can't manage games for you then he clearly ain't worth much.

miles is unlucky not to be getting games a lot of richmond fans want him in the team. he is too good for vfl level and would get a game at a fair few sides

He has got to be doing something wrong if he can't get a game in front of Broad, Castagna etc. If I remember correctly he didn't get much of a go at it last year either?

broad is a defender and castagna is a forward and our main pressure and tackling option down there. miles is playing in the guts and is behind prestia. he played most games last year this is the first year other then his first season at richmond that he hasn't been in our side
