Happy with Jones at 9, I'm confident that McHenry will become a good player, and I trust Hamish's judgement, but I can't help but wonder about RCD, he's more of a need for our midfield, and I would have thought he had a higher ceiling. Perhaps there was a 'go-home' factor with RCD or we simply thought he was overrated.

Pretty happy with that carlton trade though, could be huge for us if we make finals again.

I'm a little shocked with our selection with McHenry having attained McAdam and gullucci ready to rise

I knew Hamish was mad keen on Jones. I rang trade radio and spoke to Cal and said that Hamish was keen on Jones and which pick did he think we would have to use. He said pick 8 or 13.
Then there was talk of him bolting so I think Hamish jumped to make sure he got him.
So I wote in another thread that we would bid on Thomas with our first and Hamish wanted Jones but he had jumped the order.

Some wondered if Jones was a round 1 pick? What planet you been on to question that?
To those worried about Carlton might improve. Bolton coaching record has gone from 7 wins to 6 wins to 2 wins. Its heading in 1 direction. Please dont kid yourself fearing their ship is going to turn around under Bolton.

They pull of a huge trade that gets them their highest draft pick ever and people still cant be happy and melt.

Nah, don't leave it at that. Because the younger kids have all signed on. The only ones that have left are McGovern, Lever and Cameron, who were their own posse and not that popular amongst some themselves.

We were never getting our hands on picks 2/3. Port gave up the farm for pick 5, we decided not to.

Unlike the rest of the off field staff I do trust our recruiting.

Our strategy is that we are very very confident in our list and are backing them in.

Our list has proven nothing to be backed in. How arrogant of the club if this is their thinking.
