Interesting. Any idea why he didn't want to stay? He's from NSW, so it wasn't the 'go home' factor.

Of course we didn't want to lose him but since he wanted to go we got the best we could out of it.
Stoddart will do the same to us. As soon as he shows signs someone will romance him & entice him back to Victoria. That's the cycle for us.

but honestly one of the biggest w***ers I've ever seen in my 20 years following this sport. Just horribly unlikeable.

I'm sick of the AFL trying to change traditions. There are traditions that need to be changed (ie how about a neutral grand final?) and then there are traditions that are nothing more than corporate greed. The grand final has been played in the day for 100+ years. The bounce has been in the game for 100+ years. Leave shit alone.

(I am a traditionalist though so maybe I'm bias)
