Has Dahlhaus re-signed? Adding he and Fasolo would give us an instant half forward flank boost. We have 3mil plus in the cap and should be able to offer a fair bit more than what the Cats would be offering.

I keep trying to play out trade scenarios but the priority pick fluctuations play too big a part. We could potentially go to North for their pick 9 if they think Thomas will get bid on before that.
Port could be wanting pick 9 in some deal involving Polec ?

My source

We are getting Shiel because he wants to play for Carlton
We are getting Gaff because he wants to play for Carlton
We are getting Setterfield because he wants to play for Carlton
We are getting Kelly because he wants to play for Carlton
We are getting Dahlhaus because he wants to play for Carlton
We are getting Cerra because he wants to play for Carlton
Then we will add Walsh Lukosius Smith Caldwell through the draft
Don't forget Nat Fyfe wants to play for us too

Big Breath:
My very hypothetical SOS scenario at the trade table
Instigate a trade with Norf to swap their 1st round pick (9) and a second round 2019 for our two second rounders (23 and 25), they effectively get Thomas for 23 (assuming someone bids) and keep a relatively high second round pick.
SOS then has picks 1, 9, PP11(I think that they will send it to the end of the non-finalists first round picks (Blues-11, GC-12)
Adelaide, sh1tting themselves that they wont get Lukosious throw the kitchen sink at SOS on draft night and offer him all their early picks, 7,15,19, SOS taking a big breath takes the deal.
We now have picks: 7,9,11,15,19
SOS then offers GC 7,9,15 and 19 for picks 2 and 3. GC, with pp 12 already see that 5 picks in the 1st round is a absolute steal and accept.
Carlton now has picks 2,3, 11
Carlton picks: 2- Walsh
3- Smith/Rankine
11- Taylor/Collier-Dawkins

Midfield set for a decade, wouldn't need Sheil
Potential Draft order:
1- Adelaide: Lukosius
2- Carlton: Walsh
3- Carlton: Rankine (the Lynch pick, everything slips back one spot)
4- Brisbane: M King
5- Swans (Aints thought trading for Hanerbury a good idea!): Blakey (SOS very naughty bid for him at three and flushed it out)
6- Dogs: Smith
7- Freo: Hill (no go home)
8- GC: B King
9- Scum: Williams
10- GC: Hately
11- Port (wont make it): Rozee (no go home)
12- Carlton: Taylor

Two genuine mids and a mid/forward X-factor
I don't see Gold Coast accepting that deal

But yesterday you said .......

My source is news media and other bigfooty pages.
Apparently, Essendon have offered much more for Shiel, almost hard to turn down
As far as Gaff goes, North Melbourne have offered him large, and he is likely to stay at West Coast. Saints are also ahead saying they are going to be aggressive, publicly, and they have Gaff as a target

The sources you listed literally included an open forum filled with one-eyed supporters and trolls. The other was the media which happens to be full of one-eyed supporter and trolls.

My source tells me - ‘none want to play for us’. Hope your source is right SV.:p

Why do you insist you have sources when you don't? All your posting is your opinion, which you're entitled to. But what is the purpose of pretending to have some inside info? It won't give your opinion any more credit because some of the stuff you've come up with is way off what will happen in reality.

They're certainly not alone there, in any event who really cares? It's pretty harmless.

Speed, footskills, and miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiids.

Dogs' spread put us to shame today. We kinda have better cattle (at least with a view to the future) everywhere else. But they're playing 12 midfielders to our 3.

Fisher and LOB and Dow are looking like fantastic pieces of a strong team. Just need more more MOARRR!!1111!!

O'brien was great today I've noticed we have a mixed gws and hawks strategy with the way we are going hence draft all kids then senior players later (gws) build a spine then draft mids and smaller players later and a lot of good left footers (hawks)

SOS needs to effectively go all in this off season if he can. WE need 8-10 changes

Pick One on Walsh
PP on an established gun mid
Picks 25 & 29 on young mids or trade one for a Brodie
Dahlhaus and/or Lester as FA's
I hope we make a late play for Gaff
If we somehow get Pick 2 or 3 as a PP it needs to be traded for a gun mid and a top 12 pick (eg B.Crouch & 9)
Next years first round needs to be on the table for Setterfield/Shiel
I would rookie 2 of Nelson Schloithe Grigg or similar. Serious consideration on Palmer
Murphy needs to play small forward

PLUS fix the injury issues

If we did get early pp
Would ade do both the Crouch boys for pick 1
