In March the AFL say how much they've paid to each club

Last year they got $3m more than us

It's just astounding ( and yes ... time is fleeting) that after all that effort and all that work , this is what they make for the year.

On top of that losing 2 sponsors and not replacing them for 5 months !

The key issue is how much of the “income” comes from an AFL mercy****s, or government “subsidies”.

Before we release our “numbers”, IMHO not-for-profits need to

1) Ensure they have a positive cashflow over both the short and longterm

2) Pay the full salary cap and maximum support staff payments without paying the “AFL Tax”.

3) Have state of the art facilities

Without relying on AFL handouts.

Didn't we do that one year under Trigg? Had recorded a loss, so we brought forward a bunch of depreciation costs against the Westpac Centre since we were posting loss anyway and it'd hopefully look better the next year.
