On the topic of AFLX and international expansion, whilst I feel complimented when people overseas say they like our native game, the fact that it's never taken off doesn't phase me at all. If it was up to me, we wouldn't even be propping up teams in rugby heartland. Just keep the game strong where the people give a damn. But none of the leaders at AFL House - those responsible for growing the 'business' - would ever subscribe to such a conservative, isolationist view. They are under a mandate to find new sources of revenue. Any large money-making organisation worth its salt (whether an actual business or not) has 'finding new revenue streams' as a KPI.

1. Fewer players earning less than $200k
2. More players earning above $500k
3. More than double the players earning above $900k
4. Similar numbers in between

This suggests a lot of the low earners shuffled up a bracket, but there was plenty of room to move the best mid-tier earners into the $500k+ bracket and then give the stars a ton more money

9 more earning $200k to $300k (up 7%)
0 more earning $300k to $500k
29 more earning $500 to $700k (up 36%)
11 more earning $900k+ (up 122%)

Quick question... If Port's premium Black Diamond membership is "Sold Out" and there is a wait list... why is it that "GA members can now sit in Black Diamond for only $30" a game, that price being slashed from $60 last year...

I also noticed that everybody paying more than about the equivalent to our Category 3 Silver members gets guaranteed grand final access.

At some point those 3 gamers were supposed to convert to something more valuable? Great that so many people are getting to sample mediocrity at the lower membership tiers but surely that's not paying the bills.
