Daily laugh from our old mate jAnus

"There is nothing (coaching wise) that anyone could come up with that Hinkley hasn't already thought of"

He's clearly drunk from drinking Kenny's Kool-Aid

Its funny because I like to think I can see positive coaching qualities in every coach. With Hinkley I come up a blank. I can understand that he has a good rapport with his players but on strategy.... it's certainly something that doesn't come to mind when I think of Hinkley. The same with Hardwick... They just appear to be dumb coaches.

Yes Hardwick is a premiership coach, but Richmond's strategy and structure was a result of necessity due to their playing list. Not intentional by Hardwick. Hinkley is similar. Unfortunately for Hinkley though he hasn't been lucky to stumble across a successful game plan due to luck/necessity.

But... but... but...

Their CEO is Peter Summers, a Chartered Accountant who's been President for 5 years, and was on the board for 5 years before that.

Maybe they need a new board, because the old one has taken them nowhere?

They discussed St Kilda on "On the Coach" Monday night. My memory of the detail is very vague....

Every one of their 5 (I think there was 5) strategic goals for the club over the past 5-10 years have not been met. Also they listed out some of the A/B grade players they have actually traded out over that time. Some real talent. Add to that the number of top 1st round draft picks players they've had which haven't achieved much.

Sorry can't remember all the exact details.

Overall it was a very ordinary picture...

Nice to see that Port supporters are now attacking Channel 7 and their journalists en masse.

Once again they're in denial and think that by shooting the messenger it will somehow just make it all go away.

There must be some intense head shaking.

Interesting given they all assumed the training camp reports were pure as the snow #portlogic

Word of advice, you shouldn't form such strong opinions about things you know very little about. In that second post all you did was divide the total prize money of both those players by the number of their grand slam titles, and in doing so you exhibited ignorance in how prize money in tennis is awarded.
Did you not see the "Is that right?" at the beginning of my post? o_O

Do they count their season tickets as attended whether you attend or not?

This is something I suspect the AFL do as well. Count 11 game members as attended even if the card not scanned on the day.

Could explain why some crowd figures can seem high at times.

Went to the Blues-Pies game onFriday night. No effing way there was nearly 70k in attendance.

They are counting season ticket holders as well as the staff I reckon.

Aaaaah. Play on then.

Still, he's one of thousands in that state on a heavy night out. I guess that's the price you pay when you're an overpaid minor celebrity.
It reflects that he was so pissed that his version of events can’t be relied on.

I would love to know how pissed he told Port he was, this footage could be damaging for him.

Apparently he said he only had a few drinks.... looking at that footage, he’s either lying or he’s a fuc*in “Cadbury”... one things for certain though, he looks like a complete knob.

I know you were ignorant of the specifics of the matter, that much was obvious in how you reacted to that information. The problem is that despite being aware of your own lack of knowledge in the area in question you still went ahead and complained it was unfair.

What??

I don't think I did any complaining so much as stating the obvious.... (based on what was stated). FFS, there's no need to be supercilious. And you must have missed this bit: "Having said that... I think it should be on # of games played."

the way she's backing away and trying to cover / shield the back (and then front) of her skirt looks pretty suss considering the initial reports

Here's a definition of the word "complaint" from Google:
a statement that something is unsatisfactory or unacceptable.
And here is your post:
Just looking at the disparity between the two.... An average of $2million per match won for the woman to $9million for the guy... I'd say the need for equal pay was overdue. Having said that... I think it should be on # of games played.
Note the bolded part. Do you think it's fair to admonish someone for interpreting that as a complaint?

I'm almost certain this isn't going to be a hangable offence, she's not exactly fleeing in fear.

All the same, he's obviously gotten pissed and done something inappropriate.

My money's on a public apology and a short club suspension.

Yes, particularly when it was proceeded by the sentence that followed.

You are just looking for shit to pick on.

She looks like she's backing away in fear to me.

The thing is we have no idea if that’s even her. She does appear to tell him to back or **** off.
