Why aren’t we getting StKildas first?
Yes that's been pointed out to me. But would that not require a trade ?? They don't need to trade to get him.

I see. They're flogs when they do it. When we do it, we're just reasonable fellows raising a point of order.
From what I've seen none of our posters have gone over yonder ( cue banjo music) and done gone and got theirselves banned - so yes.

From ‘another’ board

“It’s no longer a club that exists to win premierships but a men’s social club of metrosexual w***ers”

Ha!
Love it

Watts, McKenzie and Motlop doing a great job of showing that you can't permanently polish a turd
C7 news "Watts continued his great start to the season with 2 goals"

We have players who've done more that we want dropped !!!

Not exactly scathing. About the least you could say without saying “no comment”.
I call that scathing.
Basset's normal demeanour is sour - passing a comment like that would have been quite quite ascerbic.

But

Channel 7!!!!???

I think you can’t make a call until the end of the season. They have had their hardest preseason ever, and yes we have injuries, but if that can taper off and we have a bigger tank that runs out games towards the end of the season, they will look like geniuses.
You don't win the Premiership out of top four.

We have given up two wins due to tired looking players on the park and injuries.

Looking at Ports team, I think its pretty good. The reality with a good side is that it exposes poor coaching and this is what I believe is happening. We all suspected Ken was an average coach for a long time. But team performance always hid the fact as PAFC was always able to hide behind the quality of the side on paper. Now Port clearly have a great best 22 Ken and PAFC have run out of excuses. No one doubts Kens ability to motivate but if that's all you are eventually the team stops listening. I think the bulk of the best 22 stopped listening a few years ago while the new inductees over the years tend to excel in their first few seasons. Ryder and Dixon seem to be following that trend. My prediction is Motlop, Watts and Rockliff do the same until the novelty wears off.

Coaching was the exact reason why they almost lost to the Lions. Fagan outcoached Hinkley in so many ways, and it was luck that they managed to hang on to win. Being shown up today at Etihad was no surprise. It was mentioned that Hinkley wanted to play a slow stoppage game at Etihad. Good luck with that.

This year you’ll probably make top four with a 14-8 win-loss record.

Early days still - waiting to mid year to judge how it is panning out.

Why?

That’s we were going to do with Dangerfield which is way Geelong traded for him.
Difference being Geelong were never putting in a huge offer that we couldn't match. Clubs can afford to do that with Sloane.

You don’t think we’ll have cap space?

Lynch, Hampton, Mackay, Douglas and Otten are all out of contract. I reckon we can juggle it.
