I also had Hibberd down back, but at his price, decided to use cheaper Rookie options & save some $$$$ ...... will he score enough to warrant his price?

Defence;

Elliot Yeo, Rory Laird, Michael Hibberd, Bernie Vince, Brodie Miocech, David Mirra (Tom Doedee, Alex Morgan)

Midfield;

Dustin Martin, Josh Kelly, Nat Fyfe, Marcus Bontempelli, Luke Parker, Jaegar O'Meara, Luke Davies - Uniacke ( Jeff Garlett (m/f), Nathan Freeman, James Worpel)

Rucks;

Paddy Ryder, Max Gawn (Sam Draper)

Forwards;

Sam Menegola (m/f), Jack Billings, Devon Smith, Alen Christensen, Paul Ahearn (m/f), Oskar Baker (Jack Higgins, Daniel Venables)

Few guys still subject to change with Devon Smith, Miocech and Parker all on my watch list to see how there pre season progresses. All my rookies are obviously subject to change.

On Jaeger, did he look this sharp last year only to then have durability issues in the season proper? Thought he had a strong preseason last year, too?
Looked to be running on top of the ground today, doing it on the bit.

He’s moving much better and is much more confident in his body coz he has done a full pre season. Definitely better than last year.

Love the midfield ... my comments are

Hanley ... is he the best choice, I see you have the mid switch going, but how often will that switch come into play? ..... plus you have an expensive (E) in Smith who’s no guarantee to play ?

Sicily on the other hand offers you a DEF / FWD switch, which is more valuable IMO ... I have Sicily as well, with N.Murphy my switch player, much cheaper than MELB Smith

I’m not sure on Hanley or Hibberd. I’ve been consistent with Yeo and Laird but D3 and D4 are two I keep changing. Those two spots plus the majority of rookies and forwards are just placeholders for now until JLT is done.

I like this team, well done!

Well balanced with plenty of top end points to accumulate. One thing you will need to watch is Buddy Franklin scoring 60, 73, 141 then back to earth with a 67. Frusterating as **** but will end the year one of the best SC forwards. Happens every year somehow.

Yeah I usually have him in my side and get annoyed at his fluctuating scores but he has a higher ceiling than most of the other forwards and is still probably the most consistent FWD premo so I’d rather start with him and save myself a trade later.

Sorry, there might be some confusion over my Hibbered comments ...... my reference was the the North Melb Hibberd, not the Melb Hibbered, who’s in my side
