I remember them VDS66.....gee.....we're really going back with that one!

I'll never forget their PR stunt one day at Moorabbin.

It was back when players wore dressing gowns at 1/4 time or on the bench.

They had that one of their tractors would come on and deliver the gowns.

By the time it got to the huddle, it was over so they did a u turn and drove off the ground.

So much a St Kilda effort...

I live in Frankston. Nah I actually live in Morley , a Perth suburb.(Have lived in Melbourne though) Some stereotypes aren't that far from the truth , and can be far funnier.......... , If you see a Collingwood supporter driving a Lexus , its probably stolen. If you see a Collingwood supporter outside Emirates Airlines , he is picking up someone in his taxi. When West Aussies ask me why the Yarra is so dirty , I tell them it's because Collingwood set up its HQ beside it.

We've lost a worrying amount of key personnel over the last few years to "greener pastures". Pretty annoying.

Not just footy dept, media and marketing peeps too, Bains, possibly others. Need to boost salaries I think.

We've lost a worrying amount of key personnel over the last few years to "greener pastures". Pretty annoying.

He was involved in our recruiting team. He’s accepted a bigger role at the Hawks with our blessing.
Footy the same as any business, you win some you lose some. I definitely think we’ve gotten in more great people than we’ve lost over the last few years.

Well Bruce apparently had a knee op of some kind about mid December, and looked like he was still running in a rehab group in one of the pics the other day, and no-one seems to have seen Newnes training for weeks, he hasn't been in the top 5-7 of the time trials that he's normally right at the top of, and there hasn't been a photo of him training since November, if at all this preseason, and he was with Bruce in what looked like the rehab laps running group the other day and looked like he had some sort of wrapping around his upper leg, under his shorts, so it seems pretty likely that he has done little of the preseason, or at least in recent weeks.

Are you able to shed any light on this?

I'm not sure about Newnes but I know Bruce trained today and like a few players his program is managed. I know he has done a big part of the pre-season this year. Actually he has done a lot more endurance work in the lead up to the season. Club reckons he can fit the workhorse forward role well, similar to Rooey last year. Shouldn't be reason for concern I wouldn't think

With the addition of AFLX and the fact it's only a few weeks away, I think most players programs would have to be carefully managed in the lead up to that, JLT, and Round 1.

As I said, I'm not sure about Newnes, and obviously we think the worst, but his absence may be legitimate.

Strikes me as the type who would have very close relationships with some of the players MG. Are we worried?
