He requested the trade. He didn't request it.
He went to SOS and said if a deal could be done he'd go but he was happy to stay at Carlton.

What are you interested in? can you point towards an investigation that correctly outlines Fremantle's needs?I'm not interested in the surface level investigation from television reporters.

Probably need a swap of few picks or so, but I think that’s fair.
St Kilda may as well fold if that's what they are considering doing. No wonder the struggling clubs are voicing concerns about free agency creating a void between the strong clubs and the battling clubs.Pies: In Beams Out: Moore, pick 52
Sydney: In Moore Out Hanneberry
Saints: In Hanneberry, pick 22 Out pick 3
Brisbane: In Pick 3, 52 out Beams, Pick 22
Regardless, free agency has opened up the avenues for players to freely move between clubs, and trading has turned into the battling clubs really struggling to attract elite talent, all the while watching it walk out the door.Nobody in your quoted posts is a free agent.
You're so right, club membership numbers being at an all time high could carry through to higher salary cap growth in the next CBARegardless, free agency has opened up the avenues for players to freely move between clubs, and trading has turned into the battling clubs really struggling to attract elite talent, all the while watching it walk out the door.
What on earth are you on about ?? That has absolutely nothing to do with my post. Been to a home game of St Kilda at Etihad or The Suns at Metricon recently ?? Maybe you want to go look into the increase in membership numbers for the big clubs and compare that with the battling clubs. You're so right, club membership numbers being at an all time high could carry through to higher salary cap growth in the next CBA

There's been a bit of talk in the last 2 weeks, about perhaps trading Hogan? .....media trash talk? While it won’t happen next year, there is always a chance for Hogan to come back and as soon as that happens you have Hogan and Cox as a lethal duo up forward. Big if but Taberner is more than serviceable in the mean time until we find out if that will happen. I’m not saying Taberner is good, but he use to be at Will Schofield early years bad, where it was just like “what the hell are you doing in our team”. Absolute goose of a footy brain but the athletic ability allowed them to stay in a rebuilding team. Glimpses of 2017 and more consistently this year has shown Taberner has matured enough to be serviceable.
Really not many teams having a very good 1-2 key forward combo, Dockers can easily grow enough to be in the top half of the league. Key forwards isn’t their need I don’t think. Sure they could use a really really good full forward, but so could a lot of teams. I actually predicted dockers to make the top 8 this year (mainly due to home ground advantage, which seemed to take effect for most of the year). Injuries really ruined them this year, as well as Ross the Boss.
Overpaying to the shithouse to get McGovern is not the solution when you can; 1)wait for Hogan, 2) wait until McGovern is out of contract and try and convince him with what you’ve done with your rebuild, while also seeing if he really reaches his potential 3) see if any other key forwards come up, maybe Lobb.
But please Dockers, give up a lot to get him. Go back to your shit trading habits from the 2000’s![]()
What do you think they are worth?

But i agree, Hogan would be a great get for you ....However McGovern is severely underestimated, and i'm not trying to push a trade ...quite the opposite in fact
Bloke who is very quick, can play back & forward ....and is a contested beast
He's only playing 3rd tall because of Jenkins and Walker .....the sole time he was the target FF, he kicked 5
IMHO it wouldn't be McGovern alone ......i suspect it maybe #13 & McGovern for your first pick .......so a slide of 7 spots for McGovern ??I’d suspect it’s a bit of trash, but like Pavlich was for the dockers, there will always be a bit of chatter on him going home.
Yeah I hear you. Just with all the talk about how much he will cost, I think it’s just too much for a rebuilding team to offer. If it was the Eagles with no injuries I’d say that’s a good deal, but too much risk for a rebuilding team.

I’m an Eagles fan so I hope it’s 4 first rounders in the next 6 years plus Cerra and Neale hahaha.
That’s the best deal I have seen for the dockers. If anything I think that’s a bit rough on the crows. Bit of change to go back crows way and I reckon that’s a good deal. If that’s the sort of deal that’s been put on the table, then yes Dockers have to consider that and maybe take it. The talk of two first rounders is laughable though.
WTF ....who suggested that ? .....IMO #8-10 alone for McGovern
But what i was suggesting was a good deal ....and we're desperate for an early pick
