Really enjoy the work you put in so well done Lore.. When discussing possible trade or what ever your thread is so helpful..

If I could make one small suggestion.. just some sort of reference in the top of your spreadsheet to show.."After R2" etc.

Had a go at getting it to do that automatically when the spreadsheet updates, but depending on how bad my tired brain is right now it may not work perfectly (particularly around the bye weeks).

I have changed the source I use for the AFL ladder in this spreadsheet, which means that the draft picks will now be 100% live throughout the home and away season. Through finals and the trade period it will still be manually updated, so please be patient

As a result of this change, the system I had for marking the round number in the top of the spreadsheet no longer works. I have replaced this with a date/time in the lower left corner.

I used this ladder source for something else last week and it appears to be stable and accurate, however please tag me and let me know if anything seems dodgy.

The ladder order does (of course) change through finals and the draft order with it, but this is as far as we go with automatic updates.

Once the last game of each week of finals has been played I will update the spreadsheet's ladder manually. Please be patient

Richmond, Collingwood, Geelong and GWS are still in it, so their picks aren't yet locked in. Richmond also have Geelong's fourth round pick which isn't locked in either obviously.

There are also a couple of other clubs with picks attached to the finishing positions of this year's top 4:

Hawthorn have a fifth round pick tied to Collingwood's ladder position

Carlton have a fourth round pick tied to GWS' ladder position

Essendon have a second round pick tied to GWS' ladder position
