I don’t think they have been released on a website yet but players have been informed I have heard. One big omission for a Gold Coast midfielder that if true is very surprising.

It was a hard job for the 2nd game mids with no true ruckman for the second half of the game.
Either had to just tackle and defend, or rush clearances.

They probably are loading up on tassie kids for the first game. There were a number of kids under injury clouds so final team may be different. Assume you mean Crossley as Budarick was rested on weekend

They will be aclimatised. Northern kids will need to play in beanies, and NT kids will need a heater.

Only Green with any size though.
Will be interesting to see which of the onballers who are used to getting 30 touches will be willing to drop their numbers to do the down and dirty stuff.
I know which ones won't, because they are too "special".
I guess Green, ONeil and Martyn will all sleep well on Saturday night.

I imagine recruiters will be interested too - which probably reinforces the selection decisions.

He will get his chance , after just looking at the airfares from Sydney to Launceston I would be picking a lot of tassie players too, wont be many northern parents there. Are all the emergency’s tassie kids ?

gee that’s a surprise. They must all come from NSW , can only think of Martyn, Griffiths , Conroy and Budarick that would be dead certainties from Queensland based on the trial game

From what I can gather Gaden from Swans & Gorr from Suns were the emergencies. Paul-Oea & Crossley both missed out.

Knew Martyn and Griffiths were certainty’s but 5 lions and only 2 suns when you look at how the teams went in the Nab league is surprising

Have no idea but quite a few talented kids missed out, Peatling for example is carving the Neafl atm and surely would be in the best 23

I recall saying a month or so ago that the Suns did have a lot easier fixture against “lesser” NAB League teams then the Lions did so their results could have been a bit misleading. You can only play who you play though.

Presume Coach Luke Power & the Academy Coaches too. Someone mentioned that the original Allies squad was done by Power and Club recruiters.

That seems a poor outlay for two who went #2 and #3. You'd want at least the equivalent of two Top 5 picks to get the Suns to blink.

Though having both Anderson and Rowell on the same team could pay massive dividends. Given the Stocker deal they probably should've asked Carlton for their 2018 and 2019 firsts for #2 and #3 lol

Getting a 10 year midfield containg Rowell and Anderson, who are likely to stay together is worth a ton. Is it worth more than Luko and Rankine? Plus who knows who they pick up with pick 19 and the Crows 2020 first?
