Perhaps I am. As I said, in my opinion I wouldn't trade him for anything less. I consider him to be our best midfielder so would have to be a lot.

Heard the interview with Justin Reid on Trade Radio earlier and I found it interesting that he categorically said Matt Crouch "won't be going anywhere" but was unwilling to say the same for Brad Couch and basically danced around the question. Definitely sounds like we're a big chance to snare Brad!

Last time we recruited a current BnF winner from another club was when Rischa made his way down the M1. He ended up being a great servant for our club as a former vice captain who played over 130 games for us over 9 years.

Riordan will play AFL next year assuming he gets a good run at it. Has all the tools to make it. I was worried he would go back to VIC.

Yeah, time to move on from Crouch. Not that I am too disappointed, while we need a big midfielder, the Crows were always going to hold out for way too much.

Other instead of paying 1m for Crouch look to pay 500k for 2 good players.

Yeah I get that totally, ruthless business mate. In the same way great players shaft our assholes and trot down to Melbourne, we have to cut kids not up to our standards. If he goes and plays state league for a few years and finds another dimension to his game it is not out of the realm of possibility that he will find his way back to the AFL.

yeah,he's only 19.
A couple of consistent years in a lower league might get him another look in.

Absolutely. Could still be pick 1, but show some improvement and it could quickly turn in to pick 5-8. Back ourselves to improve.

Treloar and Shiel were both 2 firsts with a 2nd going back (pretty sure).
Both out of contract though.
BCrouch with a year before free agency is closer to ooc than contracted since if he leaves next year the Crows would get something like pick 11.

If he wants to come for something like 800k, then surely 15 this year and 11 next year is the ballpark.
Plus, the AFL would be happy that we would have taken some of those PPs and turned them into a player.
