Would love some feedback from the fantasy lords on here...

Obviously rookies are place holders for now.

Some initial thoughts:
- Think Ryan can significantly improve this year due to kick in rule and the fact he seems to score better when Dockers play well and I think they are primed for a much better year
- Ross seems like a POD and I like Saints draw, although he is probably the first one I would change in that midfield if push came to shove
- I like Parfitt (had him in draft last year and started with a bang) and Shadow89 has basically talked me into him
- Think Witts is primed for a good year
- Worpel could be in line for more mid minutes altohugh second year blues is a worryView attachment 615946
In the same boat with your line of thinking. Do not trust the forward rooks at all this year. Feel it's Corbett, Cavarra, Parker and Setterfield with possibly Bedford and McAdam, and the rest you might as well be spinning around in the dark throwing darts at names, haha.

Have looked at a forward line with Dunkley, Billings, Walters, Parf, Cerra and Setterfield. Have then basically built my team around that (for now). I'm in the maybe boat with Worpel and I'm more on Cerra, just for now. Also 50K cheaper helps too. Witts is interesting and I like it. Midfield is one where I've gone a bit different as well. Won't be paying up for Macrae to start off with (like you) so I've thrown Danger in the midfield as the general and then that allows me to have Dunkley as a 200K cheaper dog leading the forward line. Bit of a different strategy, but also gives me good dpp on all lines as well. I think the mids are again where most of our rooks should be this year (Williamson in the backline could be a hit if Carlton are to be trusted).

Like your backline, as I feel that's where a lot of money can be saved at the moment. For me it's a toss up between Ryan and Newman at the moment, as they both could be big and only 6K apart. I am interested in the Markov decision though? What prompted that?

All in all, solid and good scoring potential. Only Worpel, Libba and Markov as one's with question marks on their heads for the meantime.

Could either of you tell me why i shouldn't be scared off by that sizable string of ehhh games Parfitt had? The tons look great but those are just troubling

Markov is getting a lot of love on the Tigers board. Lots of posters calling for him to lineup round 1. Whether he does or not is a different story though. Guess he is higher priced and should be easy to swap if he isn’t named

Lib and Worp probably my biggest question marks though you’re right

I guess I just wonder if he will be doing the same again with that loaded midfield at Geelong

Gaz will be playing near full-time in the forward line, while Joel could play a bit in defence. Guthrie is close to not being best 22 anymore, and Menegola seems like he's locked into that half-forward role for the perceivable future. We're not gonna get anywhere by just playing the same ageing players, so word is, is that Parf, Narkle and Constable should be the beneficiaries. Can't see Parfitt playing that much forward at all this year, given the acquisitions of Dahl and Rohan, plus the return of Ratugolea, and Ablett to the forward line. Would be surprised if he played less than 70% mid this year :)

Our 22 should look something like this, if you or anyone else wants an idea:

B: Bews, Blicavs, Henry
HB: Tuohy, Henderson/Taylor, Stewart
C: Duncan, Selwood, Parfitt
FO: Stanley/Fort, Danger, Kelly
HF: Menegola, Hawkins, Dahlhaus
F: Ablett, Ratugolea, Rohan
INT: Constable, Narkle, Cockatoo (if fit)/Guthrie, Kolodjashnij

EMG: Guthrie/Cockatoo, Clark, Taylor/Henderson, Fort/Stanley

Pushing for a spot: Scooter, Atkins, Cunico, Abbott, Kreuger, O'Connor

See no reason why Parfitt should be playing forward, given that Dahl or Ablett will take that role from him.

Hope that helps!

Isn't starting Fort pretty much guaranteeing 2 trades for the R2 position? Fort-Mumford-Gawn/Grundy I assume?

The money to be played around with would be mind boggling...i might do it in my lunch break!
Just did it (roughly) for a what if, but did it with a safety by upgrading a midprice forward to Westhoff, that way I can offload Fort, move Westhoff and then deal with the easier task of finding a forward cash cow.

Side now back where it was though.
If I take a gamble on Cerra instead of Worpel I can upgrade Steele to Cripps.. Side looks better now albeit a weak forward line. Danger will save me though.

Will Kelly play mostly mid? Do you think he is a top 6 forward? Legitimate gun, worried about 2nd year blues/an unwillingness to be there

Yet the better he plays, the more Geelong receive in a trade. So fingers crossed he wants to leave the club on good terms by doing as much as he can on-field to get them a good trade result. I've got him in my side atm, as he can really pig out and kicks goals. Will never be tagged either you'd think.

It's a good team, but there's just one problem.

You'll change it 100 times between now and the start of the season.

I got too many GC rookies which I will change after JLT and I've squeezed every penny. Also depends if Bennell can get his shit together:

Def: Lloyd, Witherden, Mcgrath, Williams, Hore, Goddard (Wigg, Burgess)
Mid: Cripps (C), Neale, Adams, Martin, Hannebury, Walsh, Bennell, Bewley (Stocker, Constable)
Ruck: Grundy (V), Jacobs (Fort, Flynn)
Fwd: Dangerfield, Dunkley, Wingard, Petrecca, Lukosius, Setterfield (Lewis, Rankine)

I think we all know the answer to this :moustache:

I cant see mcgrath or petracca improving enough to warrant selection. If you went mcgrath to brodie smith and petracca up to a premo i think that would be better ut its just my opinion. Other than that its solid
