No doubt Billings will sign, Gresham and Richardson had a massive blue in the off season but still can't imagine him leaving.

in the Jack podcast they mentioned Gresh was one of Richo's favourites, any idea what the argument was about?
Richo too heavy on Gresh putting defensive pressure on and neglecting his natural game, something I think both have addressed and now we're seeing more players be given freedom to play their natural game. So perhaps hearing that from one of his favourites was a very good thing.

Great news regarding Billings but I won’t be comfortable until it’s made public by the player & club. 800 big ones is a very nice contract. Hopefully it’s longterm but I think it will be 2 years which takes him to free agency.

Gresham & Marshall are the other two priorities IMO. Carlisle is good but has struggled to stay on the park so I’m not as worried about him. Newnes, McKenzie, Savage & Brown also need to be signed up. Brown looks as good as ever but a year by year deal should be enough.

Others out of contract, Longer, Pierce, Armitage, White, Rice & Dunstan are all expendable. We will need at least another ruckman as back up & probably another project type.

Armitage Rice Dunstan would all be on the block for mine

On the block? 2 are certain to go and Dunstan needs huge luck. No point in keeping both Pierce and Longer. I think Pierce is the one to keep. Don't think Longer cares enough from what I have heard.
Yep agree would delist those 3, no harm keeping Longer and Pierce though.

We should be looking at Troy Menzel former blue/Crow from the SANFL.

He is a class above and loves a goal.

Could be our next Parker but with more goals

The Arjuna Ranatunga of the SANFL?

No thanks!

Dunstan will not be delisted. If anything he’ll be traded as part of a steak knives deal.

I heard Essendon were quite interested in him, maybe part of a deal for Laverde or Parish.

Unless he starts playing he isn’t steak knives. At the moment I reckon he has no value

So it sounds like a frank and honest exit interview rather than a hyperbolic “massive blue”.

Agree, I think he's worth more on our list as depth than he is as a trade.

Would likely net us something similar to what we paid for Koby Stevens or Dean Kent.

With Armitage set to be finished, it won't leave us with a lot of depth. He may want to seek more opportunity though.

Prefer a second rounder as we dont have one

Here are Zaz Jones numbers this year v Stuv's last year (when he won the B&F & got 18 Brownlow votes):

https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy...=A&tid2=16&pid2=2342&fid2=P&fopt2=2018&type=A

The obvious negative is Zac's disposal efficiency and clanger/turnover count being even worse than Stuv's.

His high meters gained a positive. As is his very high TOG average of 87%. Big upgrade on Dunstan's 70% or less!

Dunstan for Jones swap I’d do. I’m not sure what steak knives would also be required though.
