We have a few at Clarke’s level that we could swap him for unfortunately....Forget about Draper, has hardly played at all this year. Zac Clarke is the one you want.
I’m personally all for this in principle - big money for talented but untried youngster. No real knowledge of player and would prefer it if he was a mid, but it’s a tactic that fits our capability and need for talent - I smell gubby.....I think the money for Draper is fine if you factor in Pierce is every chance to retire and Longer will be traded.
no one. And who in their right mind would trade for an out of contract ruckman who is injury prone and wouldn't get a game even if fit for a side that has needs a ruckman. It would be madness.Who would take Longer?
There is no way that can be true.![]()
AFL trade news: St Kilda set to offer $1.7 million deal to untried Essendon ruckman Sam Draper
Saints set to offer $1.7 million to ruckman yet to play an AFL gamewww.foxsports.com.au
This can't be true can it?
That's $425k a year over 4 years for a guy who hasn't played an AFL game, coming off an ACL and isn't a top draft pick.
You've also got Marshall playing well so why pay a likely back up ruckman so much money?
Yep I think it's fine, and makes sense if what I'm hearing plays out re Longer & Pierce!I’m personally all for this in principle - big money for talented but untried youngster. We are screwed then , someone mentioned that guy from the Lions , smithGalabakis Islands
Seriously , with our record of selecting players with talent plus the fact he has several injury issues , the club must be f----king joking![]()

all of the aboveConcussion retirement or just delisted?
Hey guys.
Quick one. What’s the knock on billy longer? No impact around the ground?
Just curious as to why he’s not progressed with his footy.
Cheers

So we are looking at bringing in someone with injury history? Yep, seems to fit our recruiting model
Looks not bad for footy smarts and attack on the ball. Having a guy like this is better than the 2 spuds hes replacing so it can only be good.21 year old, take. No. 1 in 2016 rookie draft by essendon. Did an ACL this year... saw a video highlights on YouTube, what stands out is his leap, marking and most strikingly, clean tap outs to his own mids..
There is no way in hell Essendon is letting Draper go
AbsolutelyYou should probably give him a contract worth signing
Absolutely
I wish I could make those calls I really do, If i had the power to sack the coach I would aswell hahaDid you do it yet?
