People are to emotional when dealing with trades.
What’s personal responsibility mean? Of course he will be hoping we get a good trade for him but he isn’t going to organise it. It’s between the clubs. Nothing to do with him. Tb you surely know we aren’t getting a player and that pick.

No it’s emotional because we think we should get the best deal when we lose someone but get someone else for bugger all. And we emotionally overrate our players. Jack was worth so much more a year ago. To prove that there are people saying he shouldn’t play seniors until he proves he is better than others but in the same breath wanting some very good pick. That emotional.I’m the opposite. It’s a simple business transaction. If Steven wants to go, fine, but Geelong can pay up. They ain’t getting a cheapie because Steven hasn’t played much footy this year. He’s a four time B&F winner which includes being the reigning winner.
If we don't get full value he stays
So we shouldn’t chase contracted players because they signed a deal with their club. You do realisethings have obviously changed in his life since signingIt means he takes ownership for his actions which in this case is signing a four year deal on huge coin.
Pick 18 & some campaigner...I dunno. Maybe Fogarty?
spot on - first rounder and a Constable type or wait till FAI’m the opposite. It’s a simple business transaction. If Steven wants to go, fine, but Geelong can pay up. Totally agree. He’s contracted & paid extremely well by the club. He needs to take some personal responsibility. If Geelong want him then they can meet the terms set by the club. I’d be asking for their first round pick 15-18 as a minimum. They can chuck in a player as well.
Yet you are saying other players deserve to play ahead of him at the momentspot on - first rounder and a Constable type or wait till FA
Gibbs was 2 first rounders and he was 2 yrs older
Geelong can't say to much they didn't let Kelly go / it all comes down to valueSo much in two minds here.
If his emotional well-being hinges on leaving and playing elsewhere well then I’d be loathe to hold him against his will, but after getting next to nothing for Ball, Cripps and Lynch I’m really not keen to give him up cheaply.
We actually can’t afford to give him up for very little - he’s been our best player for years.
Or he could be training as hard as anyone. Surely we trust a 4 time b and f to tell us when he fit. Especially someone we want good value for.Two separate arguments.
I agree, his value has diminished. A year ago he was probably worth two first rounders. He’s now worth a late first/early second plus steak knives.
With regard to his return, are we sure he’s fit & firing & ready to go? I posed the question earlier. Has he been training to an elite standard? For all we know he could’ve been sinking beers on the beach & failing to control his diet & needs a block of 2-4 games at Sandy to get match fit.
Kelly has one year at the club and there was no mention of mental illnessGeelong can't say to much they didn't let Kelly go / it all comes down to value

No the club and match committee are saying that this weekYet you are saying other players deserve to play ahead of him at the moment

Never said free. I’ve said between 15 and 25. Probably closer to 25. And yes we should chase contracted players but obviously you think those players we are chasing have a personal responsibility to their club because they signed a contract previouslyOf course we should chase contracted players & as a result we will pay a higher premium.
And yes I realise circumstances have changed in his life hence why I’ve softened on his trade value. But he’s not free.
It was a joke...No way never not happening and stupid move.
Are they. Jack maybe saying it. I was talking in the future by the way. Maybe read what is being saidNo the club and match committee are saying that this week
f me that's a good rating
you reading this VDS?

Ok , Buddy had a illness problem so he turns to spud status , so in your grading he goes from A grade to a B-, then the following year he kicks 10 his next game in Perth against West Coast.Kelly has one year at the club and there was no mention of mental illness
Sarcasm? I’m going yesSo we are not far apart. Good chat.
