I don't know. If he is going on holidays as mentioned tomorrow and has not told the club he is leaving i reckon he will be staying at the pies. I will happily be wrong but IMO if he was going to leave would have thought he would do it before he goes away. As people have said before as well reckon it was a set ploy to have the cameras when he done the tour. Only one player and all it will do if stays at collingwood on a bigger offer will put pressure on salary cap in future.
This logic doesn't make sense. Aside from many others, think about our last 2 big trades to Collingwood; Aish & Beams. They certainly didn't make a decision (or make it known) 2 weeks before end of the trade period. There would be dozens of examples of players deciding (or making that decision known) at the 11th hour.
He doesn't need to be here, and doesn't need to make a personal statement to Collingwood, that's what managers are for. In fact, given his shyness of media, it's probably his preference to have it announced and done while he's out of the country.

All that said, I don't believe he is coming, until the paperwork is signed. Nothing is done, until it's done. I'd say he is a 50/50 prospect at this stage.

If Elliot does come he pushes Cam Rayner out from deep forward. Cam better come back fit as this deal and Elliot getting on the park each week puts real selection pressure on Cam, playing as a small forward.

Tom brown on triple M in Melbourne this morning told us he was tipped off that Elliott was as Brisbane airport at 7:00am the day after the pies b&f. So rang ahead to the qld crew to get a camera out to the Gabba. Eddie was sitting there quite smug apparently which Luke Darcy mentioned means he’s not going anywhere. Time will tell I suppose.

Yep, very few players walk out on Collingwood

Sam McClure just on SEN was confident that Jamie Elliott will be staying at the Pies.

Yeah, well he's an injury riddled player that would barely get on the park.

I never wanted him at the lions anyway !!!!!

Runs to bedroom sobbing......

If we end up with just CEY and Ah Chee this trade period I think that would be a good haul on it's own although knowing Noble and co they will have something else trade wise up their sleeves if Jamie Elliott doesn't eventuate.

What can we realistically expect for our possible trade outs this week? IMO I would have them in this order for possible trade currency, a high of a late 20s pick for Lewy to a low of a future 4th rounder for Josh Walker and Ben Keays.

Lewy Taylor- Young, played plenty of good seniors footy and very durable.
Tom Cutler- His best is good enough, fresh start could be good for him.
Allen Christensen- Surely someone wants him, good solid player although could be more consistent.
Nick Robertson- His job on Whitfield in the semi could leave clubs keen on him as a tagger, also sets high standards on the training track.
Josh Walker- I don't think anyone will come for him.
Ben Keays- Ditto.
I think that we’d be very fortunate to get a pick in the 20s for any of those players. Only Bundy is best 22 and he’s older and injury prone. The others couldn’t crack a first team spot and, while they have plenty of exposed form at senior level, a lot of it was for a poor side bereft of other options. I definitely agree that all have played good footy at times but I think the starting price will be a pick in the 40s at best.

Probably the order in which I’d give them up; Taylor, Robbo, Walker, Keays, Cutler and Bundy.

Wouldn’t be too disappointed if we ended up losing Taylor, Robbo and Walker. Walker is stuck behind Andrews who’s going nowhere and the other 2 have big deficiencies in their game which don’t seem to be going anywhere fast.

Bundy is an AFL standard small forward as proved this year so at a minimum he’s outstanding depth. Keays showed this year that perhaps his offensive side of his game might be a bit more promising. And Cutler has big upside as a wing or half back.

We are still in the game despite what McClure has said. I for one would like Elliott in our forward line. Either way, Noble & Dom will make the right decision for the club no doubt.

Such an outcome based analysis on here.

Someone comes - they always were (or we paid overs).

Someone didn't - we were used/played/whatever.

In reality every case would be somewhere between the two.

I am not sure whether it is Noble and Dom’s Decision right now?

If we are using Instagram for trade rumours... Zac Williams has been tagging Charlie Cameron a heap in his Instagram stories.... 😉😏
