Who are you sacrificing McStay, Hipwood or Oscar?
I'm not sacrificing anybody.

If there's a weakness in your list you try to fill it and/or work harder with the guys you've got . If you fill it with someone who plays every week who's better than what you've got then you redifine their roles to fit into the team structure .

Plus you've got injuries to deal with as a rule.

It's clear that we can improve our overall performance in that key area and unless you're constantly on the lookout for better players to improve your list then you don't get anywhere in this game . All players from every club have to deal with that.

Oh ok, I just always assume a 'lead up forward' that is worth investing in, is worth at least $600k a year. Given we have Walker and Project talls it's not an area I think we need for Depth in, the discussion is around a game changer for next year.

So assuming that's what you mean't, one of those three would have to make way (as we are already arguably too tall) so was genuinely curious as to who they replace. Now I get you more mean;t maybe a depth option.

Not really sure there would be a worth while depth lead up forward out there and on the flip side, a worthwhile forward is playing round 1.. soo its a catch 22.

Jenkins is a two goals a game forward over 140 games. None of our current forwards is at that level, nor is Walker whom I would regard as more versatile but that does not make him "better" in terms of potential value as compared to Jenkins.

The mis-information and 'lets run with this narrative' approach to Jenkins is one of the more strange ones in the AFL. Very capable forward whos output stacks up as 'elite' in most categories. He, like half the list at the Crows, has lost his way over the last year and bit for what ever reason. I am sure, he will kick 40+ goals where ever he goes. I actually think the Pies is a good fit. We are a perfect fit too, but only if he drops his wage to $300k.

Wallace is a well-known all-time great Lions hater so get ready for lots of "they had a good season, but..."

Guess what Papa is firing up.

I look forward to Geelong taking the moral high ground with Kelly and expecting the world while in the meantime offer St Kilda next to nothing for Steven and remember they were happy to take Dangerfield with the statement he wants home so no point trying to keep him Adelaide.

They'll want two first rounders, at least one of which will need to be top 10. Good luck to West Coast on that one.

He actually said that about us beating Hawthorn in Tassie, which is even funnier.
We can only dream that he'll attempt to walk to Tassie.

Very good and accurate analysis by Wallett re our list IMO.

Except for him saying one of our needs is a play maker/intercept mark to replace Hodge, IMO Rich and/or Witherden can be the play maker and Adams/Andrews have the intercept mark covered. As Noble, Conole and Fagan have said we need run and carry out of the back.
