I hope it's a Bulldogs home match in 2021 if that's the pairing they want to go with. Makes no sense that North members get in for free each year and Digs fans have to pay.
I hope that's the case, but only if it is absolutely certain that it will always be those two teams facing eachother on Good Friday instead of rotating.

...and just like that, my comment goes over the head of ANOTHER Essendon supporter.

I don’t believe the comment, I simply said it because Bomberboyokay decided to whinge about the Richmond/Carlton season opener.

All of those games keep their marquee status due to crowd sizes.

So match his hypocrisy with more. Righto.

Not a specific leak...

Fair to say no more Mothers Day 4.40pm games against the Giants

What a joke. The AFL rolls over to you again.
You weren’t a finals side so didn’t earn a better fixture and you travel less than anyone. Having home games in tassie isn’t travelling.

Rolls over? We lived on sunday afternoons against the lowest drawing clubs in the competition. Anything will be better than last years travesty we copped

:)

Funny thing is, in 2018 Hawthorn was a finals side and they were gifted 6 Sunday Twilight home games and 4 Friday Night away games

So swings and round abouts.

Here’s hoping Easter Monday is at Cat Park next year

Sunday afternoons would be alright...

Last year Hawthorn dined on Sunday Twilight / Night home games (6 of 11) and Friday Night away games (4 of 11)

Was a very strange back to front schedule

That said, the 1.10pm Sunday afternoon timeslot (a time slot that was absent from Hawthorn’s home fixture last year) is probably the second best crowd drawing time slot

yeh, and just to add, we defeated this person's abhorrent football club in the latter part of the season and they have the nerve to write we 'weren't a finals side'. wake up, moron.

Mentioned earlier, (and it's come from Tom Browne, so take it for what it's worth) but he's reporting this:

HAWKS, EAGLES TO PLAY ON ANZAC DAY
Hawthorn and West Coast will join Collingwood and Essendon in facing off on Anzac Day next year.
Triple M’s Tom Browne is reporting the Hawks and Eagles will contest the game in Tasmania.
It is understood the match will precede the traditional clash between Collingwood and Essendon. The Hawks and Eagles are set to face off at about 1.10pm while the Pies and Bombers will reportedly be playing in a non-traditional timeslot of 4.40pm.

North and the Bulldogs should be given an extended run at Good Friday to try and build it into an event. This would then only leave St Kilda among Vic clubs without a permanent marquee fixture.

Rich/Carl - opener
Rich/Ess - Dreamtime
Rich/Melb - ANZAC Eve
Coll/Ess - ANZAC Day
Coll/Melb - QB
Gee/Haw - Easter Monday
Nth/WB - Good Friday
We have Maddies match which gets more people to it than Norths good friday games, obviously in part to Richmond but the games are definitely dominated by saints fans. To a lesser extent we have the pride match against Sydney every year, but I think who hosts it alternates? Could be wrong though.
