I see my claim of 5 x elites in this draft has now been poached by the media (again).
Yiou don't trade out elites. If anything we want to get another top 5 pick.
#5, 2021 first and PowellHand it over Gold Coast!
There's a lot of good traits in that kid. Watch closely.
Nice soft hands, gets the ball off very quickly for a big man, dual sided, and uses his size well to chop out team mates.

Thil-thorpeStill don’t know how to pronounce his name.
Is it Thil-Thorpe or Thilt-Horpe?
Caro is gonna have a stroke trying pronounce his name.Thil-thorpe
Oh I remember that pic. It was a promo shot.

" Right Caro, give us that look that shows how much you enjoy life- 1,2,3 -go!!"

They will have clubs queuing up to offer them more than 1268 points worth of later picks to get their mitts on 12.I can’t see the dogs trading out their 1st rounder. Crows can wipe them out of the draft - they need every point they can get not to be in deficit. Can’t see how they get more than 1,268 points on later picks.
Crazy talented for a kid that size. Just don't think the club should be in a position where the only elite player to choose from is a guy that might be a ruck or a key forward. He looks like a ruck to me. I don't think picking a ruck in the top five should be ruled out like some do but I'd feel more assured knowing the club could choose Thilthorpe or an elite talent with a better set position.
His ball handling in close is reminiscent of Goldy, and he's a better mark & dual sided kick. Build up his tank and he could very well be a highly effective ruckman/swingman.
Based on what I've seen/read, the worry is whether he can develop his leap enough to become a decent tap ruckman. Watching the All-Stars game from last year, it really stood out that he was consistently well beaten in the ruck by much less highly-touted prospects. If he can't drastically improve this side of his game, is he essentially just an average key forward who moves like an (admittedly very athletic) ruckman? He doesn't look much better than Xerri in that role from what I've seen. He has some nice traits, but I'd be pretty uncomfortable drafting him at 2 without a clear elite position. His ball handling in close is reminiscent of Goldy, and he's a better mark & dual sided kick. If only there was a scary talent with a knee injury in this draft...Is this the 2006 AFL draft all over again?
someone find me the Selwood in this mix please

Selwood had exposed dominant form in the midfield and runs on the board Hollands could only dream of. If we go Hollands at #2 then I'll back him in but Hollands in coming in as mostly potential whereas Selwood was already a dominant midfielder with more than enough runs in the board.
You'll be backing him in in about 30 days I'd suggest.Selwood had exposed dominant form in the midfield and runs on the board Hollands could only dream of. If hollands played this year we wouldn't be having this conversation or a chance to grab him as there'd be him then daylight to 2nd.
God I’m worried about his knee.
I was trying to think last night about guys that have come back from knees to star.
Robbie graywas probably the best comparison I could come up with.PLAYERCARDSTART9Robbie Gray

Petracca is another one.
Going much further back, stevo, but not a good comparison with Hollands.
Any others that people can think of?
