Stopped reading when he had Phillips at 13.
the same guy who picked Xavier Ellis at 3 over Scott Pendlebury at 5 in 2005, well he cant always be right

That was the right choice at the time, Collingwood would have made the same choice. Pendlebury was a bit of a reach at 5.

Picks 3 to 7 were Ellis, J. Kennedy, Pendles, Dowler and Ryder.

N. Jones, S. Higgins and hurn went 11-13 also.

Luckily we got birch and Bailey.

05 was a shocker for us. Luckily we had 04 or we would have been stuck at the bottom of the ladder.

we made every bad decision that was possible in that draft(except Birchall at 14, our 3rd pick, we had 5 in the top 22 which is insane and so many bad decisions), the exact opposite of 2004

Imagine taking Pendlebury and Ryder instead of Ellis and Dowler -

Any draft you get 6 premiership medals turned out ok. Plus 2 more in the pre season draft and 1 in the rookie draft.

Butterfly effect says we don’t get Cyril so um yeah I’ll take all the blown picks which led to the way things played out

Watching his highlight real again Phillips seems to be decent off both feet and his pace seems to be top notch. I can see him being a real point of difference for us next year were we to grab him and I'm all for it. If we also pick up someone like Poulter with our second I'd be really excited; Finn, Phillips, Poulter, Downie and Day would be a great young mid core to have coming through together.

Yep I agree He is Similar to what we have because he can accumalte but completely different at the same time with his speed , ability to really tackle and nail low effective 30/40 metre passes . I really hope we take him now or dgb if available, we have all heard from the media how compromised this draft is a safe bet wouldn't be the worst option at 4.

Plus Worps is only 21.

No Downie.

I noticed that and thought I must have read it wrong. I doubt he's seen much, if any of the junior footy he would normally be watching given what's happened this year. Also feel like he must watch less than he used to anyway.

They can only keep rolling him out so long.

I wouldn't be taking much stock in the opinion of anyone outside of the 18 club recruiters. I can't imagine Gary Buckenara has watched, or had access, to the footage and information available on the draft prospects.
