Nah my time is better spent on doing other things.

Let go of the past comments. The last few weeks you wouldn't find anyone suggesting that. At least not anyone who knows what they're talking about.

You would be surprised

Don't take the risk on players whose bodies let them down. Surely we would have learned this by now.
'We'll get them cheap and we'll do this and that and make them........' - No we won't.
We have to fix up our own backyard first; Marchbank, CCurnow, Macreadie.......along with getting our players fitter.

I don't think SPS likes playing in the backline and we knew Fisher wasn't keen going forward.
We'll ultimately pay for not finding the right types in the best utilised positions.
SPS looks nothing like a pick #5 right now, playing in the backline. Can't waste these resources.

Targeting your posts?

Don't flatter yourself.

Instead of posting something that clearly isn't the consensus just to try and enforce your view that we shouldn't go after a player like Papley how about you be a bit more constructive and suggest what you think we should do this off season?

I hate when people bring up footage from junior days, despise it. They're playing against people their own age!
Means absolutely nothing when you come up against bigger, stronger bodies.
Imagine not reading the conversation thread before declaring why I've brought up the footage, and how stupid I am for doing so.

SPS has hamstring problems. If we can fix his hamstring problems, that's the player we get. We haven't done it yet, and it's been 4 years.

I'm not hopeful, but at least I'm not screwing up my face so hard at the discussion of him that I'm managing to clamp the major arteries into my brain shut. At least I've got that going for me.

People still think we don't need Papley? He needs to be priority number 1.
Add him and curnow to our forward line and we start to shape up nicely.
Without spitting out a bunch of average statistics compared to player X and Y, can you explain exactly what Papley does for our forward line? How does he fit in, what does he enhance?

I don't see it, and think he needs to fed a lot of space and footy by his team mates. Clever, consistent, but not explosive.

Already have, replied directly to you in depth

Now, be clear, not going to be dragged into your draining interactions like in the past

Move on, once and for all

If you already have, then what's the point to keep going on and on and on and on and on about how we shouldn't trade something for Papley which we're nver going to do anyway?

How about you move on, once and for all?

The reason for draining interactions is because you always think you're right. I'm not going to go digging for posts that are months old that may have suggested that crap just so you can feel justified in having a go at such unrealistic trade suggestions a month later when the guy is having a quiet patch.

Would you accept anything less than two top 10 picks, with one being top 3 for Cripps? Because his last month doesn't warrant anywhere near that...

As opposed to you?

Small forward lines are new trends?

Shiel coming to us as a FA?

We will finish last in 2019? Did you make that donation?

You have no credibility mate, so for the last time, ignore my posts from this moment on

I think we should trade sps to Freo for Alex Pearce we need another rock to help Weitering and as much as I love Jones I recon he will fall away really quickly in the next yr or 2 Alex Pearce was up there with Andrews and one of the best full backs in the comp before he got injured

Never called you stupid, and using his hamstrings as an excuse just doesn't cut it.
I feel you're slowly coming around to the fact that he isn't what we envisioned him to be.
I accepted his ability (or lack thereof) long ago, plenty of blood going through these arteries now 😅

Small forward lines are new trends?

Hawks and Cats won a bunch of flags without a pack of monster talls... I pointed that out perfectly.

Richmond's dominance isn't off the back of tall forward line either... Riewoldt was their only quality tall in the 2017 grand final. And he's only 193cm.

Lynch is their only really tall gun forward.

Wiggles - Kennedy the only really tall option.. Darling stands at a whopping 191cm. Kennedy is 1cm taller that Cripps...

So, thanks for reiterating how right I am about that one.

Shiel coming to us as a FA?

Yeah I was wrong about that. What you going to do? Point it out? Ouch. Should I point out the times you were wrong about things that you harped on and on and on and on about?

We will finish last in 2019? Did you make that donation?

Where were we before Bolton got sacked?

I made that remark because I could see he was taking that playing group nowhere. Had the club not pulled the trigger on him, we were going to finish last and you know it. There's no way we were going to turn it all around and finish the way we did had we kept him there.

You have no credibility mate, so for the last time, ignore my posts from this moment on

More credibility than someone who literally thinks he knows everything but in reality doesn't and then makes snide remarks at every opportunity.

I guess the only way to have credibility in your eyes is to be right about everything... ie. just agree with everything you say yeah?

Can anyone tell me where these SPS hamstring rumours have come from? He had issues in his draft year but since when are they still an issue?

He's playing lazily right now and is a complete liability on field in one on ones but just last year he was one of our most improved players. People must forget Weiters turnaround. I hate watching the bloke right now because he's as talented as anyone on our list underperforming, but theres no reason we should be looking at trading the bloke because of one shocking season where the entire AFL landscape has been completely changed.

End of year out:

Simpson.Levi.Dow.Sps.Krez.Betts.Lang.Mcreadie.Goddard.Finbar

Thin ice:Mitch.Kennedy.

Like to see more of:Lob.Stocker.Owies.Marchbank.TDK.

Retention of senior players:Murph.Curnow.
(Can’t get rid of all of them at once and mids).

Rest of the team ok (for now).

IN:As many MIDS as possible and a quality small forward.

Fisher needs more time up around the ball.

He was getting up towards 20 touches a game in his second year.

He needs to be a mid rotating to high forward. Just has tricks no one else on our list has. Need to get the ball in his hands as much as possible.

I never wanted us to draft him, for exactly the reason I've specified. I was keen on McCluggage, Ainsworth, Setterfield, Scrimshaw, Florent, Simpkin, English, Cox, Bolton, Hayward and Atley.

I also didn't want us to draft Fisher for the same reason: because I didn't think he had an AFL position he was effective at. Here we are 4 years later, and both are struggling to make an impact consistently.

Imagine having one from each of these lists:

McCluggage, Ainsworth, Florent, Simpkin

English, Bolton and Hayward

That was achievable.

I've been thinking about this all week...

and after a long, deep thought process I've come to the conclusion that Papley is not worth TWO 1st rounders...
If they throw in Heeney then I would
I'd be asking for papley and Heeney and will give them 2 first round picks and Marchbank

I hope everyone payed close attention to Zac Williams tonight, Yes he is a great kick however he is not as quick as people think and in my opinion speed especially in our backline is our biggest weakness, 700,000 plus is alot of money for a player who is predominantly a half back flanker having played probably less than 10 games as a full time midfielder.

As for Papley if we pay anything over 1 pick in the early teens we have over paid, talk involving Dekoning or 2 first round picks is ridiculous we should back the recruiters to find a small forward through the draft, If you add mcgovern to papley and Williams we would have roughly 2.1-2.2 million of our salary cap tied up in a forward pocket, a half back flanker and a 3rd/4th forward who barely touches the ball that's not good list management.

A mid with good skills and a half back with speed should be our priorities but not 700,000 plus worth to play half back the easiest position on the ground to play.

Agree I'd rather go after saad

Gee time is up for Simmo and Betts. For sure.

1,2,4,5,7,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,17,18,20,21,22,23,24,15,27,18,29,30,31,32,33,34,35,36,40,41,43,46. That’s 34 certainties in my view.

Murph very close to certain. Probably Kreuxer too due to uncertainty around rucks. that’s 36. Impossible to see lists being more than 42 next year. Doubt less than 40.

Phillips sounds like he’s showing a bit. Macreadie making a late run to retain a spot. I’d bet we keep one of them if lists are 42. Neither if less. Both if more.

There is no world where I see Betts or Simmo playing on. No way.
