He’s not setting the world on fire yet, but I’m curious to know why we didn’t keep McAdam when we selected him as a state league player. He’s a livewire small/medium forward, something we obviously need.

crap kick but if we can use him as an ed succession plan...maybe?Geelongs Brandon parfitt is out of contract.
Tough midfielder who can play inside/outside and can find the goals. Won't cost the world in picks/player swap and salary.

Because we probably only selected him knowing that Adelaide were keen on bringing him into the club.
I don't think we erred on that front, he's not much chop.
Nah fair call.
Haven’t seen much of him, just catching a bit of the Crows/Pies game right now and saw that he was playing.
Speak of the devil, that's a great mark. That's one thing he can do and do well.
Have liked what I’ve seen of him - not that I’m saying we’ll rue the decision to trade him, but looks like he could come good over time.
The other thing to consider here is he's 25, he's not a kid who is going to improve significantly over the next few years.
He may improve marginally as he gets more experience under his belt, but what you see now is pretty much what you're going to get.
Rory Laird must have seen David Kings article on us chasing Zac Williams at half back. Playing some sort of game tonight, must be desperate for us to chuck him a bone and come rescue him from that shambles of a club
Define the world. Would cost our first pick.Geelongs Brandon parfitt is out of contract.

Is there a reason (injury)why sps can only kick 20-30 or Instruction , because it is a liabilityGood spot.
Would be a smart pickup for the backline I reckon.
Still prefer Witherden, myself. We're using SPS to try and set up corridor play from the back half, which is fine, but he only ever kicks it 20-30m which makes it predictable (might be why our ball movement stagnates after qtr time in most games). Witherden can hit pinpoint passes over 50m, and keeps the kick relatively low to make it harder to defend.
But given Witherden is back in the seniors, he'll likely come at a higher cost. Cox could be a very astute grab for very little cost.

Funny how our a Carlton draft thread is not on the front page and I just had a quick look at the Adelaide board and theirs has hit 240 or so pages.
I am glad we've progressed on from looking 24/7 at who to recruit.
Would be a better use for our first round pick than most. Is well used to providing defensive support through the middle of the ground for the classier players, and is a hard worker with and without the ball.Define the world. Would cost our first pick.
Geelong have selwood danger ablett duncan (aged) -- I'm pretty sure parfitt ain't leavingYes please; he's an absolute gun.
There's no way Geelong will let him go though.

ThanksFallen/adjusted into a habit from his junior years, where he suffered ongoing hamstring and thigh stains
He is actually quick, but rarely stretches out, nor does he like to kick through the pill
Hopefully Russell will help him work through this area
would have been good to have swapped 2020 first round pick as wellOn the subject of this game, as much as I enjoy watching Collingwood lose - I’m even happier at the prospect of Adelaide going through the season without a win. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving club.
No then.Define the world. Would cost our first pick.
