Any possibility Roo will be on Celebrity Get Me Out of here?

More likely Dane Swan.

Not all well down in Catland .... Steve Saunders not yet club aligned ...looks like an issue of $$$$$$$

Geelong will start its AFL pre-season next week without experienced doctors Geoff Allen and Drew Slimmon, who both resigned from the club last week.

The Cats face the “extraordinarily difficult” task of replacing the seasoned sports medicos, while physiotherapists Mark Young and Hamish Macauley and head strength and conditioning coach Chris Dennis are also moving on.

The exodus comes as AFL clubs feel the squeeze on their football department budgets.

Allen has been in the role since 2005 and Slimmon started in 2011.

Both are well regarded in the medical industry, helping Geelong enjoy a dream run with injury this year.

It is understood AFL club doctors are facing a 20 per cent pay cut, but demands to cater for concussion, mental health, drug and alcohol and other protocols have increased.

Slimmon said he quit to spend more time with his young family but acknowledged the “administrative demands” of the role had increased.

Dane's already been on celebrity 3 years ago.

Not sure if the medal on a Roo is a clue or not. Thought I’d check North Brownlow winners. The last was Ross Glendinning. Don’t think it’s him.

If it’s just any old Brownlow winner, my money’s on Adam Cooney coz he’s a shameless media whore that would think hed be good at this sort of thing

Hmm, who else could it be. A medal on a roo...

Two Drs resigning in one week...plus two physios and head of S&C...sounds like more than $$ to me.

Would you take a 20% salary slice & be expected to work 20% harder ?

Depends how many other options you have at your disposal!

It would be even tougher to swallow when you're a Dr who has spend the better part of 5-10 years studying medicine, and then a few kids who barely scraped through year 12 are getting paid 3 or 4 times as much as you and only have to take a 3% pay cut at the same company.

lol have I struck a nerve with you? I just think if people want to call themselves christian they should actually live by jesus's teachings, not just pick and choose whatever moral code suits them on the day. I don't really care if you have a problem with this. I've been surrounded by this kind of hypocrisy my whole life and I will keep calling it out until I get bored of watching these people squirm.

i’m not a Christian, but your level of knowledge is something most people wouldn’t want to advertise

Is he one of the hypocritical Pentecostal 'life changer' types that have 'a personal relationship with god' like our acting Prime Minister.
Personally I find atheists every bit as bad as those religious types.

Stand by for Hocking to ban other clubs from having club doctors - all in the interests of equalisation of course.

Wow. So an entitled AFL club who is backed by a multi-billion dollar governing body is asking uni grads to volunteer up to 25 hours a week to develop their football program.

Who said the AFL world was out of touch!
You'd be surprised how many volunteers clubs have.

Some trainers, drinks runners, even scouts for the recruiting team...

How much do our trainers at reserves games make I wonder? The ones who attend training?

People go above and beyond for something they love for nada or an honorarium at best.

Every sporting club in Australia from top right down to grassroots level has a team of helpers, some of them putting in multiple hours per week.

Hang on. If you aren't an atheist ... You are one of those religious types.
Not really.

Whilst I'm not sure of the existence of God or the afterlife, I'm also not sure that none of that exists.

I find atheists almost as tiresome as vegans telling people who eat meat that we are killing the planet.

God boy got a lap dance. What a good christian.
what commandment was he breaching?

“Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s hot hot wife who totally wants a three-way with you and that saucy chick with the big hooters who works behind the counter at the local deli”

Are the 10 commandments the full extent of jesus's teachings? You know it only takes about 5 seconds to run a search on "Is going to a strip club and getting a lap dance a sin?" and you'll find a shitload of christian websites telling you it is indeed a sin.

Just call it what it is, another salad bar christian putting their hypocrisy on display.

Okay, I do like ‘salad bar Christian’.

I know nobody is perfect. He's tweeting about it though so he obviously doesn't see it as an issue. That's blatantly hypocritical from somebody who claims to be a christian.

Jesus was friends with Mary Magdalene, alleged sex worker. It’s only hypocritical if he claims they’re beneath him.

All christians are ******* hypocrites. They think by going to church on Sunday it absolves for all their sins Mon - Sat. Bloody hypocrites.I had a boss who was a Christian and yet treated all his work colleagues with no respect and hurled abuse like I had hot dinners. Disgraceful.

Logical fallacy, not all swans are white.

No touching, so there was room left for Jesus.

That’s what all the Priests said in court.

Is he one of the hypocritical Pentecostal 'life changer' types that have 'a personal relationship with god' like our acting Prime Minister.

So I can be clear here - if you believe in the Prosperity gospel, then you are either a charlatan or a ******, and I implore you to jump off a bridge. I ****ing hate you, you have perverted Jesus’ teachings, be Like Lyle Shelton and eat shit.

Just to be extra clear - and I hope you’re sitting down because this may shock some of you like **** - I am actually quite religious. Oh, I’ve got a shopping list of sins to account for, don’t you worry about that. And the Catholic Church has got a lot to answer for, a lot. But this idea that Thor is a hypocrit because he went to The Palace, that’s a bit simplistic.

Would you take a 20% salary slice & be expected to work 20% harder ?

I did, at the start of the pandemic, when we thought our company was ****ed.

In Greenwood's case though he's always been outspoken about his faith, he's made it clear publically that christianity is very important to him personally. I don't think it's that much of a leap to point out how weird it is to see him fondly recounting his experience at a strip club. At the very least, if you're going to be a lax christian, don't try to convince everybody you're a beacon of piety.

Except GC traded 27 for a future 3rd with the cats.

I suspect 27 will be used by the cats to get Baldwin :(
Im not sure what of my post you disagree with?

The pick GCS actually got was Melbourne's 2021 3rd.

That's a pretty hard position to justify.

Not sure how many people have committed hate crimes or terrorist acts in the name of atheism.
