So if Bulldogs and Geelong win today then Collingwood will be playing tomorrow to avoid going to Perth for week one of the finals. A pretty good incentive - stay on the Gold Coast or go to Perth.

Port still may end up 2nd rather than 1st and play Richmond first week of finals rather than Geelong.

If anything, the player stopping and waiting for the ball to go out should have been the one penalised. It was absolute bullshit.

It’s the same with the SANFL “last disposal out of bounds rule”, I think the intention is not to pay it if an opponent just watches it or shepherds it over the line, unfortunately it’s not policed anywhere near enough and it’s a terrible look to the game.

Only one is on 800k, and supposed to be in his prime. The other has two defenders hanging off him at most times, took a pay cut in his last contract (so wouldn’t be on anything near 800k) and is at the end of his career.

look I get it. But it’s Tex. i Was kind of hoping he’d make the call himself (re retiring), and he may yet do that. But I wouldn’t begrudge him one final year as long as he is of the understanding he will be dropped if his form doesn’t warrant selection.

My brother lost interest in footy yeara ago but with lockdown he started borrowing my kayo acct and been watching Geelong games (they were his team when he was a kid and he lives down on the coast)

After watching his first couple of games in years he asks me "how many players are out?" - i told him officially none are

He was flabbergasted - the number of players dont line up that there is none
