So... ah... turns out Betts wasn't cooked
He lost his passion for the Crows. I still think it was right to move him on though, he needed a fresh start (or restart in the case of going back to Carlton).

Gosh it must be a great feeling to have such a weak and inferior enemy like Freo. I remember I got carded on their forum when I suggested their first flag may take places in the 2030s. :drunk:

Wish we had them and you the Power. :p

Oh god, that sounds about right. They are very very sensitive there. I copped my one and only ban on this forum for posting there last year. It was in support of Dear Leader Ross 😛

We certainly don’t take it for granted for sure. Annoyingly, they probably will be back on one of their upswings in the next few years. But there always lols to be had.

Your (AFC) biggest enemy is yourselves. Port Power are inferior to the AFC. Obviously not not onfield at present (clearly). Remove the two roadblocks (Chapman and Roo) and you are well on the way to getting things back on track. It has started at some level already, Nicks, Kelly and Jackson are an improvement on what was there before...
I think the AFC has a lot of things going for it. I believe anyway 😛

This is such a typical Port performance, they always seem to play in bursts.

My prediction is that it will be close for a while in the 2nd half and then Port will have a 3-4 goal burst late in the 3rd quarter and Carlton will drop their heads in the last quarter.

Yep, they won't lose this. It'll be their classic get out of jail game. They're a better side than Carlton. When the pressure reaches fever pitch they'll jag a few that will be the difference.

If that is all you need to get a mark on that inside defensive 50 (put a hand on the ball) they awarded Port Puke

I coulda been a Brownlow candidate back in the day.

Holy hell was that weak lol

I think the AFC removed his passion. When he was dropped last year was the start when others stayed in the side. Being told he will be a parts player would have hurt him.We are still paying his part salary, we should have flicked MacKay instead.Everybody's favorite player. Stengle will never achieve anything like Eddie. In future we may loose Eddies boy in F/S. Shocking decision by Adelaide.

It just worries me because watching them tonight, their best player was the old man and the team had more club cast-offs than the original Brisbane Bears. We should take note of what they are doing and do the complete opposite
I think they're a bit like us and didn't move on some senior blokes when they had a chance. Goldstein is awesome, but he's 32. Why didn't they move him out when they had Braydon Preuss waiting to get a crack a year or two ago? Same with Shaun Higgins, great player, but he's 32 as well.

Their drafting has been a bit hit and miss like us too, Simpkin is turning into a star, Thomas looks good, but then you've got guys like Sam Durdin who haven't panned out.
