a friendly update from C4 - he believes Port are putting in the groundwork to lure Hately back to Adelaide.

I would have preferred it if he said Adelaide were the ones doing the groundwork as I think Hately will become a good big bodied AFL player
What’s the last thing C4 has ever got right? I recall him saying Jack Martin was going to the pear as he’s best mates with Dixon 😂

Is Frampton signing or what? Anybody hear anything?
Yes. Just waiting on a few things to play out first.

Yeah we had more conversations that were not public.
But thanks for your insights...

They always look good at the start of the year, only to be down to 25 fit players by the mid year bye.

Having a poor physical performance program will stuff any side up, regardless of talent.
Looks different this year

Previous years they would be sneaking 3 point wins despite having 20 fewer inside 50s

Or winning solely on Ablett’s 40 possessions and 3 goals

Gold Coast were very very good vs Geelong, and it was with a style which will stand up under pressure and in finals

Greenwood and Rowell gives them two very good inside midfielders, and they have a tonne of pace and pressure around them. King and Luko.

I had GC 18th but a good 18th with a few fun and comprehensive wins against older slower teams they aren’t supposed to beat

I guess I still have them there, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if they win 10 games

Hi all, apologies for the intrusion but I was hoping you could help with some ticketing advice . I'm planning to attend the crows - lions game down your way in round 3 and never having been to the oval before I wanted to know if GA was a reasonable option of if it's best to go ticketed? It looks like the GA section is reasonably large on the ticket site but I know you get big attendances so don't want to risk being left high and dry.

Thanks for any help

GA is mostly standing on the hill for our games, there is a small section at the back of the riverbank stand, however this fills up rather quickly. I suggest getting restricted view seats, they cost the same as GA (in cat 5-7) and you're guaranteed a seat, if you don't like the seat you can stand on the hill anyway, or go up to GA seating if you're there early enough.

Stand on the hill! It's the best

Thanks for the advice. The hill sounds like it would be a fun experience, I'm just not so sure about the standing bit! Might take the advice to go restricted view and have it both ways. Thanks!

after 1/4 time or mid way through pick your spot in the easten stand and confidently walk to the seat, the people who check the tickets only really check them if you need help, even if they ask if you've got a ticket just say "my mate at the seats has it I know where im going, thanks"

Beer in one hand, food in the other. "I've already got my seat (point with chin)".

You definitely picked the safer option of which SA team to see at AO.

Some opposition supporters have unfortunately had trouble with Power home games.

I had read that a few of our fans who travelled down for the Port game last year found the atmosphere less welcoming, though that probably reflected how the game was going.

Looking forward to this one though, I've heard the oval is a great experience in itself and if this year's game against your blokes is as well matched, entertaining and back and forward as last seasons it should be a great watch for all

Even as a 6ft bloke I hate the hill. Atmosphere is amazing but for actually seeing the game it's shithouse unless you get there really early and claim front spot with no one in front of you. If you're after an experience, can't beat the hill. If you want to see the whole game (apart from any restricted bits), go with seats.

So this year could finally be the year that they get a win against us...

Not AFL related, but did anyone hear/read about the shitstorm unfolding with Joey Wright and the 36ers?

He should be handed a lifetime ban from having any involvement with a basketball club if that screenshot is real. Utterly horrific thing to say.

What do you expect from a club run by Steven Trigg?
