See, this is where things are ****ed up.
You say things privately which you would never say in public. Every single person does it.
Then some campaigner brings it into the public realm and its all OMG!
I'd hate to think what people say about Mackay privately. If it was brought into the public realm you would have a massive pile on and no job.

I’ve never said anything like that in private and I don’t think many people would, that’s a ****ed up thing to say in any forum and isn’t acceptable. What does Mackay have to do with it? That’s a weird example to use.

I saw the 36ers in Gilligans nightclub up in Cairns after a game in early 2019 n had a chat ... the entire squad was in the house...
Few of them carried on like absolute dickheads, one was removed after a bit of pushy stuff that left his shirt hanging off.
Nothing wrong with a bit of fun with ya team but it was very clear these blokes were out of control until the wee hrs .. I'm not easily surprised but they had a good crack considering they had just played a game and I was quite impressed to see them playing again 4 days later..
Just thought at the time if that was a team i followed closely I'd be pissed.

Right... He was there, both Sobey and Wright got heated, as happens in professional sport and both were at fault for the altercation and he wouldn't call it assault. Very much paraphrasing.
Wiley also tweeted about Wright's techniques while being unorthodox made guys into good players and come from a good place.

Do you knock back Lachie Neale if you already have plenty of guys with similar physical attributes on your list. But not one tall mid.

It is not just height, but the bigger body also helps the smaller guys in congestion.


For me it is not one body type over the other, but a good mix of both.


We lack that mix.

We lack the ability to exit stoppages on foot and to deliver forward. The size of our mids is irrelevant with regards to that weakness.

I've been saying this for a while, structure and talent dictates how good your midfield is.

Sure having a guy like Cripps or Fyfe would be great but they aren't the norm.

Funny you should mention that. There was an altercation in Cairns involving some 36ers players at 3am earlier this season.

Initially the club saw no issue with players being out until 3am post game, before realising it wasn’t a great look.
